Another great property managed by Lake James Rentals. Brand new home invites you to your own private waterfront playground! Wake up to the sounds of Dales Creek running by the house, then bring your coffee just a few steps down to the waterfront to enjoy the sunrise. What might your day hold? Cast a line out from the back of your secluded cove, enjoy a meal at the picnic pavilion overlooking pristine 7,000 acre Lake James, or just spend the day paddling around and exploring the sights of Southern Appalachia: the South Mountains to the south, the Black Mountain Range to the west, and the Blue Ridge, Grandfather Mountain, Dobson’s Knob and Linville Gorge to the north. Bring everyone together as the sun sets to enjoy the cool of the evening around the campfire before retiring to any of 3 bedrooms in this spacious beach-style home. Or maybe you would prefer to drift off to sleep on the screened outdoor Summer sleeping porch and enjoy the sounds of the wildlife all around you.
This 1650 square foot home comfortably sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms, with additional sleeping space for 3 between the hand-crafted futon in the open loft and the daybed on the screened sleeping porch. There are 2 full bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen that will provide you with all the comforts of home. The eat-in kitchen provides seating for 6. The home boasts beautiful hardwood floors and ceramic tile throughout, washer and dryer, dishwasher, and Internet. Two spacious 8’X32’ porches provide plenty of additional outdoor living space, as well as an 8’X16’ sundeck, an outdoor shower, and a private 200 square foot covered pavilion with a large picnic table.
This home is located on a level lot at the back of a quiet cove with beautiful long-range views of the lake. No steep sidewalks or stairs to get down to the waterfront, and the swimming area has river rock and hard packed sand. You’ll have a large mountain creek all to yourself as it meanders through the property alongside the house and flows into Lake James. The children will have a blast exploring the rocky shores, panning for gold, splashing in the water, traversing the log footbridge, or just creating hours of their own adventures along the shallow shoreline. A large canoe is also provided for exploring the lake and the undeveloped islands. With no visible neighbors in this wooded location, you will enjoy many days filled with peace and solitude. There is plenty of room on the large 4 acre lot for parking vehicles, boats, trailers, RV’s and more. Bring all the toys! The boat ramp is only 2 miles away. The property also has a level parking pad with 30 and 50 amp RV hookup and fresh well water hookup at the pavilion. Bring your RV (or have your relatives bring theirs!) and enjoy even more space to spread out while spending time together with many loved ones. There is no septic hookup at the campsite, but access to the septic for dumping before and during departure is available on site.
