The Loft is a unique large open floor plan; awesome modernews cabin feel
The Loft is a unique private large 690 s.f. upscale cabin like structure. All of our previous guests have commented that the Loft is much bigger than it appears in pictures, that it exceeded their expectations and is much more charming than any of the pictures depict it. There is a bedroom area with a king bed, a kitchenette area equipped with small appliances, a dining area, a great living room area complete with a gas stove and a futon which converts to a bed, a single bed situated privately in a raised alcove accessed by a ship's ladder and a good sized bathroom with a generous size shower. The Loft has its own private entrance and closets. There is access to a beautiful private beach and lawn with a dock. The Loft has an outdoor grill, complete with a side burner that sits on the large private back deck in the woods, internet, air conditioning and both the back deck and front deck are both accessed by glass french doors which lets in all the light and makes one feel as if one is part of the outside. Enjoy outdoor living on your own expansive deck in the woods or on the lawn at the beach. Swim, kayak, sail or just take in the scenery and watch for the eagles and great blue herons at owners' private lakefront on Goose Pond, a large very clean and beautiful 270 acre lake of which the majority is in preservation. A short walk away (10 minutes) the Appalachian Trail provides great hiking opportunities, you can even walk around the top end of the upper lake or into the infamous Tyringham Valley! The area is spectacular. The Loft is near all of the cultural offerings of the Berkshires: Stockbridge Theatre Festival, Shakespear and Co., Norman Rockwell Museum, Jacob's Pillow, Naumkeg, Kripalu, just to mention a few. Trustees of Reservation hikes are close by too. Fantastic boutique shopping and great cafes are pleasant destinations in area towns. The Premium Outlet Village offers great outlet shopping and is just a 10 minute drive away. There are many great restaurants in the area.
We are on a beautiful lake, in the country but just a short drive to anything that you might wish to do here in the 4 season area of the beautiful Berkshires. The summer offers all of the cultural amenities that the Berkshires if famous for and the lake is warm for swimming. The early summer and fall are also perfect times to visit the Loft and the Berkshires in general. The area is quieter and the scenery is spectacular. Fall foliage on the lake is something not to be misted and the free standing gas stove makes the evenings in the Loft cozy and contributes to a warm and inviting atmosphere. Come and enjoy! Unfortunately, we are unable to allow 4 legged family members at the loft.

About Gail Puntin
We have lived on Goose Pond all of our adult lives and have raised our children here. My husband actually spent summers here while growing up and has never considered living anywhere else.
What makes this Chalet unique
Goose Pond is an incredible lake. We have always been in love with it. Goose Pond consists of 2 lakes connected by a channel. Upper Goose Pond is spectacular and is surrounded by National Park Land while much of Lower Goose Pond is in preservation too. It is a large 'mountain' lake that is very beautiful, clean, quiet and sought after by many especially those who kayak and canoe. Bird watchers will love it here. The bald eagle, great blue heron, osprey, loon and many others are seen almost daily. The lake provides great fishing and is stocked with salmon and trout and has native fish including bass as well. In the fall, the mountains around the lake provide spectacular views as does the hiking available throughout the area.

lovely lake lounging
The Loft on Goose Pond was perfect for a girls weekend away to celebrate mom's birthday. It is very clean and comfortable, cozy and fun. We easily found everything we wanted for brunching, grilling, and lounging by the beautiful lake. The loft is removed enough from the hosts' home to feel space, yet close enough to have a friendly check in and chat, and get fun restaurant recommendations. Definitely would like to visit again! Thank you!
Comfortable lakeside loft get-away
Really enjoyed our stay at this scenic property. We were on an autumn “leaf-changing” trip and we got lots of fall colors here. Great area for walks and exploring and close to great towns to visit: Lee, Stockbridge, Lennox. And some great houses/museums to tour. Hosts are very generous and we had everything we needed for a great stay. The lake is just steps away and there is a great cat named Bob.
AWESOME PLACE TO STAY!
Everything was great!
First lets start with Tim and Gail. They were beyond gracious. Our kids enjoyed fishing and playing on the lawn but the fire pit was certainly a highlight. Tim took the time to make a fire for the kids so they could enjoy the outdoors and went above and beyond. He even took time to show our son how to use the fishing gear.
Now the home which was built by Tim. It was beautiful and just what we needed for a few days of quality time together. It was clean and well stocked and if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. Even when we had a small issue, Gail came right over to see what we could do to fix it.
We could enjoy the Loft or sit by the lake and enjoy the view. And sitting on the deck watching the stars late at night was so beautiful. We all included (kids too) that they had a great time.
Thanks Gail and Tim for a wonderful stay and we certainly will be back.
Terrific! Incredibly relaxing and beautiful!
Wonderful Property on the Lake!
The loft was a terrific stay for my family! Gail and Tim were terrific hosts who new of all the great spots for outdoor fun and adventure. The loft was very clean and well equipped. My family and I were able to kayak right from the property and spent over 4 hours on the beautiful, quiet, and peaceful lake. The Appalachian was a nice treat and walking distance from the property. My family and I would certainly enjoy visiting again!
Such a beautiful place
Goose pond was so beautiful clean and peaceful. Close to so many great things. We went to Jacobs Pillow only a 15 min ride a definite trip worth taking. Went for a hike on the Cobble Loop trail and had the pleasure of meeting some thru hikers on the AT. Gail and Tim were so welcoming. We truly enjoyed the use of their lawn, kayaks and company. The loft was comfortable and certainly met our needs of 3. This was my second time staying and I will definitely be back.
Here at 'The Loft' you are close to all of the amenities that the Berkshires have to offer: Tanglewood and the BSO (9 miles/15 minutes), The Berkshire Theatre Festival, (7 miles/10 minutes), Kripalu (10 miles/15 minutes, The Norman Rockwell Museum (10 miles/15 minutes), Jacob's Pillow (10 miles/15 minutes), Shakespeare & Co. (8 miles/10 minutes), Antiquing, Shopping, The Prime Outlets (3 miles/5 minutes) and more. Delightful dining abounds in the area. Kayaking, swimming and fishing at your private beach. Fall is a gorgeous time here at the lake. Everything quiets down and the fall foliage at and around the lake is spectacular. The gas stove in the Loft makes it so very cozy.
