Charming cottage steps away from Lake Michigan and Silver Lake Sand Dunes

Duneside cottage is the perfect summer retreat for those looking to relax. Enjoy the spacious outdoor deck with beautiful views of the surrounding nature. The cottage features two large living rooms, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill, comfortable beds, one full bathroom (shower only), plus a half bath. It also has heat and air conditioning, a washer and dryer, high speed WiFi, and ample parking. A public access beach to Lake Michigan is a minute walk away, the Little Sable Point Lighthouse is a 5 minute walk, and the entrance to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes are a 5 minute drive from the cottage.

Check-in 3 PM, check-out 10 AM.

Max property capacity is 6 people, 3 vehicles.

No visitors, gatherings, parties, or any guests not registered in the rental agreement.

No pets.

For everyone’s safety, security cameras are located at the front and back of the house.

Duneside Cottage is a new listing but we have been renting privately to guests for the last 3 seasons. Please don't hesitate to reach out with questions.

We truly enjoyed our stay in Mears at this cottage. The house had everything we needed and more. The short walk to Michigan’s shoreline was perfect for viewing the sunset each night. The Sable Point Beach and lighthouse was also very beautiful and so close. We would most certainly book this home again as it very much felt like a home away from home!

Why they chose this property

The cottage sits amongst the sand dunes along Lake Michigan. Just around the corner, you can visit the historic Little Sable Point Lighthouse and Silver Lake State Park, or head just down the road for a day on the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. The area also has great food and drink options, as well as other recreational activities such as golf, hiking, swimming, boating, and horseback riding.
