My husband and I were looking for a small cozy place that would put us close to the beaches for the summers, and skiing for the winters. We were very lucky to find this cabin as it gave us the true Tahoe woodsy feeling but was close enough to everything to make life easy. We found the perfect get away . We hope that you will enjoy your stay there as much as we do.
Francoise purchased this house in 1987
If you're looking for the true cabin feel, this home is the one for you. Just right for your family or for a couples' get-away with Heavenly Ski Resort, Camp Richardson, casinos, shopping, bike trails and hiking just minutes away.
The property was as advertised - clean, cozy and a good location. The fenced yard is great if you have little kids or a pet. Beds were comfy, televisions worked, kitchen and bath were adequate. The owner made it very easy to reserve and use the cabin.
This cabin was as advertised and much more. It's in a quiet neighborhood tucked among the towering pine trees in South Lake Tahoe. Very convenient to stores, restaurants, and activities. It was a true home away from home. Francoise and Paul have a real gem and we are glad they were willing to share it through VRBO. The whole experience from reservation through check out could not have gone smoother. We look forward to returning to Lake Tahoe and experiencing the cabin again.
This was a great cabin for our family trip to Lake Tahoe. It was cute, comfortable, quiet, clean, and very convenient to beaches, hiking, and the grocery store. It had everything we needed. It doesn't have a dishwasher and the pullout bed had the typical bar and mattress, but it was great for the price! I would definitely recommend this location to friends and relatives.
This is a wonderful cabin. It is cozy and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Close to everything in South Lake Tahoe. The owners are helpful and very prompt. We would stay there again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at The Cabin. It was cozy and clean and the perfect location for our family of five (including hound). We really appreciated the fenced back-yard where we could let the dog out freely. I loved how peaceful the neighborhood was and that The Cabin was nestled in among huge pine trees where we often napped in super-comfy hammocks! Grocery stores, shops and restaurants were a short drive, bike-ride or walk away.
Francoise and Paul were very considerate hosts, ensuring that we had everything we needed. Their lists of restaurants and activities were integral in helping our family plan our itinerary. Our girls especially enjoyed the bike paths, kayaking and paddle-boarding. We really appreciated the beautiful beaches, including the dog beach.
I would love to go back to The Cabin next summer. South Lake Tahoe was fabulous.
My family and Golden Retriever recently stayed at this cabin. We had a great time! The cabin was exactly as shown in the pictures. Great spot and close to all the popular beaches. All the amenities were there and the cabin was clean. Good sized backyard for my Golden Retriever to run around. Unfortunately did not get a chance to use the hammocks... Francoise was very friendly and communicated excellently throughout the whole process. We would definitely stay here again!
