Mountain Joy Cottage # 3, Owl Lodge, er en 5 soveværelse, 4. 5 bad (2 med jacuzzi badekar) lodge, der kan sove 15.

Oprindeligt var Maggie Setzers hjemsted, for hvem Maggie Valley blev opkaldt, det land, som Mountain Joy sidder, et specielt sted. Du vil blive fortryllet med det bjerg charme, familie atmosfære og karakter. Vi tilbyder alle de moderne bekvemmeligheder, du ville forvente med året rundt adgang og afsondrethed, som meget få kan tilbyde.

Nyd den fredelige landlige omgivelser i vores hytter. Vi har en, to og fire soveværelser hytter alle udstyret med brændeovne, kabel-tv, internet og køkkener klar til at lave et hjemmelavet måltid. Udenfor har verandaerne gyngestole, så du kan nyde din morgenkaffe eller nyde solnedgangen på bjergene om aftenen. Vores glas lukket udendørs swimmingpool (sæsonbestemt) tilbyder et dejligt sted at slappe af.

Mountain Joy Cottages er centralt beliggende i hjertet af Maggie Valley kun en blok op Setzer Cove Road med nem adgang til alle områdets attraktioner. Vi er kun få minutter væk fra Scenic Blue Ridge Parkway og Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Området er fyldt med håndværk, antikke og gavebutikker. Den udendørs tilbyder ridning, golf på området bjergkurser, ørredfiskeri i vandløb, rafting og naturskønne drev. Sne ski og slanger er til rådighed for hele familien på Cataloochee Ski Area. Natteliv omfatter alt fra jazz til bluegrass, tilstopning eller aftensmad. Vores hytter er kun en kort køretur til Great Smoky Mountain Railway, The Biltmore Estate i Asheville, Cherokee Indian Reservation og Harrahs Casino og historiske downtown Waynesville.

There was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. The cabin was close to everything. We loved the Elk.

The house was not clean at all cobwebs floors dirty just not clean at all very disappointed to pay that much for a house and it be dirty i had kids was too dirty for them to play

It was just off the main road in Maggie Valley, making it so easy to get to anything on your plans. Sitting on the porch relaxing was awesome. Watch lots of butterflies around the butterfly bushes was great. Even had Elk show up and put on a show in our front yard. Yes we would rent this place again.

Grands enjoyed the pool and basketball court. I loved the feel that it was secluded area with easy access, but yet right near the main area of town. My only negative was missing a pitcher (which we bought a plastic from DG and left)and no baking sheets. We did our cooking at home mostly so enjoyed the stocked kitchen. Especially looked forward to our daily elk visits. We identified at least 6 different ones. Loved watching them. Yes, I would rent again and recommend. This would be awesome for something like a family reunion where each could rent their own cottage yet have all of the outside common space, fire pit, pool, playground, basketball court.

This is our 3rd stay at Mtn. Joy Owl cabin. The large size works great for our family. The little ones enjoy the fishing. The elk never disappoint. The pool is nice, and cold (just like a mountain stream). Even though the cabin could use a little extra love, the size fits our needs and we know what to expect at this point.

The only complaint I had was that 3 of the 5 bathrooms had no toilet paper when we arrived. We had to go buy it, which for the price charged I feel the owner should supply toilet paper and a roll of paper towels. The space was great and the large kitchen table was great for games. The room layout was perfect for the family. Would rent again.

The family enjoys the pool, watching elk meander through at times, dropping a line in the pond, taking walks, or sitting in the porch watching a little game of badminton in the front yard. We grill and cook meals but also enjoy local restaurants like Joey’s and Butts on the Creek. We also enjoy the local festivals in Maggie Valley or Waynesville

Great place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maggie Valley. The property is great and was plenty spacious for our large family that includes several children. We got to see elk and ducks right in the front yard several times each day! The cabin was well stocked and for the most part clean. The dishwasher did not work, one tv was broken and another was missing a remote that we later found under a bed. But all in all it was totally worth it and we are already planning our trip for next year :)

Fall break

Disappointed

The property is a nice property, but with no one showing it any love. I rented this cabin for my sister’s 70th birthday with 4 couples, all over 60. It was extremely dusty and dirty. So dusty, that I started sneezing as soon as I stepped in the door and my throat got scratchy to the point I took an allergy tablet. Spider webs in corners with spiders attached. Ants in the kitchen. I’m glad my husband and I got there early to decorate. We had to literally clean and dust before decorating . We had no choice out of town family was due there in a couple of hours and I didn’t want to be embarrassed by renting it and I couldn’t get a refund. I didn’t want to ruin my sisters birthday weekend. We definitely left it better than when we got there. My brother even had to fix a couple of items. We have pics. All and all I’m just glad my sister had a great time!

Great first time cabin experience.

It was a nice, roomy home with everything a family needed for that home away from home experience with a whole lot more to offer. Grandkids are ready to go back now

Owl Lodge great for multiple families. Needs thorough cleaning.

If you can get past an occasional stink bug and dust bunnies, Owl lodge is a great location for multiple families. The pond was great for kids fishing and the basketball hoop and open central area were perfect for our 4-11 year olds. A total of 13 in our group of all ages fit comfortably. Impressive kitchen equipment selection available. Clean linens and lots of towels, but needed all floors cleaned in and around furniture. Although many lights did not function and fans were all covered in layers of dust, we would stay again!

Family Vacation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived rental agency did excellent job.arrival at the cabin, not so good. The cabin was not clean, linen was dirty, cobb webbs on all the ceilings and walls. The cabin had very bad odor of CURRY!there were seven or eight bags of garbage out side by the A/C condensing units. Two of the rooms Bed Comforters had very bad damp spots on Them, looked like Sex Spots, we had too clean and mop the floors and clean bathrooms and kitchen,spray cabin several times for odor. one of the A/C heat pumps keept freezing up and making noise. You should check after cleaning crew.
