Our stay was okay, though not super great. For starters theres always a long wait for the ferry. It holds like 8 cars maybe. The house was nice at first glance, but we definitely noticed pretty quick that things aren't that clean. I know the pillow cases in the downstairs bed weren't changed. Not only were they not changed, but they had big sweat stains, and other crusty stains ALL over them. These were surface stains. Not set in, washed stains. The upstairs bathroom had a crusty stiff towel on the counter. Things could use some updating and more attention. The house was pretty dusty and cobwebby. It just seemed like the very bare minimum gets done between guests. On top of that there were just a hundred minor inconveniences. Most places we stay are very well stocked with daily kitchen tools and entertainment. Off the top of my head, there were no scissors, no can opener, no coffee filters for that coffee maker(no store on island). No decent cutting board. Just a small plastic rectangle that belongs in the trash. There are no blinds or curtains downstairs in the living or dining room. We definitely felt on display to the neighbors all night. Safety wise, there are five ports for smoke detectors but not one smoke detector was there. Add on to that, the coffee maker we learned as we were leaving doesn't turn off automatically and the light on it doesn't work. You don't know if it's on or off. It was on overnight at one point.
