Cozy 1 bedroom log cabin with large private back deck. Miss Jo’s Cabin is just 2 miles from historic downtown Saluda and conveniently located beside part of the Sand Cut Pass railroad. Unfortunately, the train no longer travels the Saluda Grade but guests enjoy hiking along the old tracks for a day of exploring the quaint little town of Saluda. If you’re the adventurous type, Saluda offers Green River Adventures right downtown as well as The Gorge zip line. Just one mile past the cabin you’ll find Pearson Falls waterfall. It’s a moderate hike and enjoyable for children and “children at heart”. There are many day trip options in the area including the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, DuPont State Forrest which has several waterfalls, and the Tryon International Equestrian Center.

We really enjoyed our 2-nights at the cabin. It was quiet and peaceful, calm and cozy. We loved the hot tub, and enjoyed cocktails under the stars. I was so happy to see coffee filters in the cupboard since I'd forgotten them, and even a small assortment of spices for cooking. Some places are quite barren!
Saluda is great little town too, with Hendersonville so close if you need more liveliness. We ventured to Chimney Rock and Gorges State Park from the cabin for day trips, and found both to be an easy drive. Highly recommend it all!
We enjoyed our stay
Quiet and cozy
Loved the cabin and view
Thanks Charlotte, come again anytime.
Quiet and remote
Very nice and quiet. Clean with everything you would need. Loved walking to the side of the cabin for a nice mountain view
Thank you, we’re so glad you enjoyed your visit. Check with us again in the future, we’d love to have you back.
Beautiful location away from everything
Relaxing location in the woods over a mile from the main road in Saluda. We were very happy we could take my husband's pick up truck for that last part of the trip! Definitely felt like we were away from civilization. Cabin had everything we needed, including sugar for my coffee and some extra spices that were a much appreciated small touch. My husband and I both agreed that the mattress was a little on the worn out side, but aside from that we enjoyed our stay immensely.
Thank you for the kind review. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay at Miss Jo’s Cabin, however we are sorry you found the bed unsatisfactory. Although the bed is fairly new we will check it out. We do realize everyone’s needs are different regarding bedding but will do our best to make sure the bedding is as comfortable as possible to all.
Cabin is nice
Needs some furniture up grades
Thank you for the suggestion. We do try to keep the furnishings simple due to both space and in keeping with the cabin feeling. You are the first to mention the furnishings but we do realize not all guests have the same expectations. We have recently upgraded the bed in Miss Jo’s and have been considering replacing the sofa. As you know space is limited so finding just the right thing to meet our needs can be challenging. Thank you again for your suggestions and we will definitely step up our search for just the right thing to enhance our cozy cabin.
