Thank you. The issue the 1st night is solved. No more rooster in the tree. We chopped the tree down. Thanks for being patient and working with us. And thanks for coming to Matsumoto’s and wanting to learn our culture.
Tiny home was clean, fun and in a good location to explore. Host Gen and her family were very helpful with advice and responses. Even received some great Hawaiian treats and borrowed snorkel gear for extra fun. Will contact her again when on Oahu.
This was precisely what I needed for a quick refresh! Genevieve, the hostess with the mostess, is excellent! I arrived earlier than I thought and was granted early access, and was even allowed to check out an hour late so I could take a quick nap before heading back home.Genevieve was super responsive and even included me in a sunrise yoga session on the beach! This was a truly beautiful, authentic experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a local vibe outside of the chaos. I'm so thankful for this experience and Genevieve!
We went out to Laie for my daughter's graduation. Initially, we chose to stay in the tiny home because the price was right & we figured we wouldn't spend much time there. My daughter's apartment ended up being off limits since her roommates were studying for finals. We, consequently, spent several memorable nights visiting in this cozy little abode. It is surprisingly well equipped w/ plates, utensils, glasses, mixing bowls, tupperware, pans, toaster, 2 burner hot plate, grill, small oven, & a full size refrigerator/freezer (we used all but the oven). There is a detached bathroom w/shampoo, conditioner, liquid soap & towels provided. There is also access to a washer & a clothes line out back. There is a cute seating area w/a wall mount TV, a small love seat & two chairs situated underneath the loft. You do have to climb up a ladder to get to the loft bedroom, but the ceiling is high enough that my 6 foot tall husband had no problems standing upright without touching the ceiling. The bed is really comfortable & there is a small wall mount airconditioner to keep the heat & humidity at bay on hot nights. Best of all, Genevieve was a kind & attentive hostess. She went above & beyond to make sure we were happy & comfortable. We were welcomed w/yummy banana bread & pinapple candies. When Genevieve heard I had injured myself paddle boarding, she made us some delicious homemade chicken, ginger, & green papaya soup. The tiny home was perfect for our needs & exceeded our expectations!
Cute little shed house. Really nice host. It had 2 burner cooktop to use with pots, pans and dishes. We used it for cooking up breakfast. Steep ladder to loft bed. Unfortunately roosters around the culdesac are noisy early in the morning.

Thanks for staying with us. Sorry about the roosters. They are wild and I want to get rid of them. I will try and figure out how? I hope you’ll come back and we can get to know each other more?
