Our property is a two-unit cabin. This listing is for the LOWER SUITE, which has its own private entrance — there are no shared indoor spaces. There are some stairs from the driveway leading to the cabin entrance, which are not handicap accessible.

Our guests’ favorite features of the property are the beautiful downtown views and the convenience of being just steps from Main Street. Please note that because of this close proximity, you may occasionally hear some town noise, especially during busy weekends or seasonal events. If you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, we recommend keeping this in mind when booking.

☆☆ LIVING AREA ☆☆

The primary living area is bright, open, and inviting, with a studio-style floor plan that creates a seamless flow. At the heart of the space, a freestanding Jacuzzi tub is perfectly positioned between the bed and TV—allowing you to unwind and enjoy your favorite shows whether you’re soaking in the tub, lounging in bed, or relaxing in the living area.

From the property, you can also hear and see the river, and take in the expansive downtown views below year-round. When the leaves fall, the elevated views of downtown Helen below are especially breathtaking and a must see during the holiday light season!

The living area includes:

Large HDTV with streaming services

Board games and books for cozy or rainy days

The suite is beautifully decorated and designed to be especially romantic for couples. It’s furnished for a comfortable stay with everything you need.

☆☆ BEDROOMS + BATHROOMS ☆☆

The suite features a king bed with a lovely wooden post frame designed with comfort in mind. The bed is set off to the side but is not enclosed in a separate bedroom.

There is also a queen-size sleeper sofa for additional guests.

If you are a very light sleeper, you may wish to bring earplugs. Depending on the season and weekend activity, you may hear some light hustle and bustle from town. We provide a sound machine for white noise.

The en-suite bathroom is open to the main room and includes:

A large walk-in shower built for two

Dual shower heads

Seating bench

Privacy curtain (as needed)

Separate enclosed toilet closet with a door

Please note: If you are a group of four adult friends, be aware that the studio layout offers limited privacy.

☆☆ KITCHEN & DINING ☆☆

The suite features a full-size kitchen equipped with everything you need to cook full meals, along with a cozy dining area and kitchen table.

Note: This suite does not have a dishwasher.

☆☆ OUTDOOR SPACE ☆☆

Could not have asked for a better location! Steps away from the heart of Helen. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Haus in the Hreart of Helen! The house is so cozy and comfy! The bed just wraps its arms around you the moment your head hits the pillow! The cabin was also stocked with everything needed! Great communication and easy check in/out processes! We will return in the future!

We enjoyed our time in Helen, GA at this location. You could see all the Christmas lights of Helen from the front porch. You could not ask for a better location for ease of walking into town. We stayed on the lower floor of this location. The home was very clean. Steven was a great host and very easy to communicate with. The only downfall of the stay, which is stated in the description, is the noise from the upper floor with other tenants of the home. We did have to request additional bath towels/cloths as our stay was four days and only two were provided initially.

Wonderful stay! Owners are very hospitable. Lower unit is ideal for a couple. You will get your steps in! Road, driveway, and stairs are steep--worth it for the amazing views and proximity to downtown! We saw deer on the property twice! Lots of birds and squirrels for the nature lovers. Some renters commented on the noise from the bar down the hill, but we didn't find it noticeable when inside so it didn't impact our enjoyment. We wanted to be close to action, so didn't mind the tradeoff of what comes with that.

My wife, Kaile, and I reside in Flowery Branch, GA with her 3 school age boys. Kaile grew up in Dublin, OH and I grew up in Rochester, NY. We have lived in Georgia for over 10 years and enjoy all the outdoor activities the state has to offer from hiking and camping in the north Georgia mountains to relaxing on the beaches outside of Savannah. We also enjoy attending art festivals and listening to live music.

Why they chose this property

Helen is a very unique and safe town with a lot of heritage, shopping, dining and entertainment options that will make your time in the area memorable. Tubing down the Chattahoochee river in the summer, and exploring the many shopping and dining options the town are our favorite things to do when in the area, all of which is very walkable from our property.

What makes this property unique

The location of the Haus in the Heart of Helen cannot be beat with the Chattahoochee river, Georgia Mountain Coaster and several dining options all within a 2 min walk from our front door.
