About John Reardon

I grew up in Northampton Massachusetts, a town with countless beautiful old homes and lots of woods. I spent countless days in my youth building tree forts never knowing that those 2 dynamics would intersect at this point. Upon arriving in San Diego with an interest in building and purchasing real estate, I became immediately interested in the largely neglected Victorian buildings in this area of town. This property became a labor of love for me many years ago and I hope that legacy will be carried forward by my 3 sons. My wife if Japanese, so our family often divides our time between 2 very different worlds, both with much to offer.

John Reardon purchased this condo in 1991

Why John Reardon chose San Diego

It is our hope that our guests will appreciate the attention to detail and uniqueness of design that has been incorporated into every aspect of this property.

What makes this condo unique

This property is strategically located close to most of San Diego's most popular destinations. It's central location and proximity to a newly revitalized downtown, airport, beaches and parks affords our guests the best possible experience while visiting San Diego.

Comfortable, clean, and convenient apartment in San Diego!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this apartment with our 3 year old son for six nights while we vacationed in San Diego and it was great! We felt that the location was ideal - close to Balboa Park and close to the freeway. The apartment, gardens, and the common areas are very clean and neat. We used the washer/dryer which I hardly ever do on vacation but the owner made it so easy by providing quarters and detergent! The apartment has a small kitchen with everything you need to cook simple meals. I was also happy to find toddler plates/cups/bowls/utensils in the kitchen! My only recommendation would be to replace the frying pan as the non-stick coating seems to be peeling off. There is an Albertson's a few blocks away which made shopping easy. The bedroom has a very comfortable king bed. We slept well every night! There is also a small loft in the the bedroom with a twin size bed. The bathroom has both a tub and a shower which worked out great for bathing our little one. A week prior to our arrival, John sent very thorough instructions about the apartment. We had no issues getting into the house or into our unit using the keypad locks. He also sent an email two days into our stay to make sure everything was going okay. We felt safe in the neighborhood. Parking was not an issue - we found parking in front of the house most days and when we didn't, we parked within a block of the house. Other perks: there are 4 beach towels, 2 beach chairs, and a boogie board in the apartment. We didn't use the common areas outside but it looked lovely! We would definitely stay here again!!

Comfortable, Convenient and Clean

  • 4 of 5

This VRBO is conveniently located: Near the expressways and within walking distance of many of San Diego's attractions. The unit is very comfortable with good bed, well equipped kitchen and very nice grounds. Everything was super clean! We spent a very enjoyable week here seeing the sights of San Diego. The on-street parking was never a problem

Beautiful Historic Home with Easy Access to Everything!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this piece of history right in the middle of San Diego! The location was fantastic - we could see the skyscraper landscape from our window and it was about a five minute drive to the Embarcadero. We were a little worried we would hear planes all night long since we were so close to the airport but we did not hear them at all. The unit was incredibly clean and well-laid out. The master bed was big and comfortable and our kids did great on the pull-out couch. They also have the cutest little loft with bed if you need it. They were kind enough to supply us with a pack-and-play and stroller for our baby. There were some people staying above us but it wasn't noisy at all. We thought parking on the street might be an issue but we were always able to park right in front of the house. The only thing that bothered us a little was the noise of the air conditioner turning on and off through the night. However, we were there during a heat stroke and I think it would have been plenty cool if we had left the windows open during the day with the fans on. The owners were fantastic - even forgiving us when we accidentally took the beach towels they provided with us. We weren't able to return them until a few days later. One suggestion I do have for them is to provide a beach umbrella with the other beach supplies (chairs, towel, boogie board) they provided. All-in-all it was a very pleasant stay! We will definitely be coming back on our next trip to San Diego!

The property was a perfect location to the downtown areas and beaches.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I both loved this place. We were there for our anniversary and really enjoyed our stay. The owner John was there to help if we needed anything and was very quick to respond to our initial requests. The house was perfect for what we needed and had plenty of space for a family.

We will definitely be coming back, and when we do, we'll be giving John a call. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
