About Bob and Chuck
This property has been in our family for over 3 generations. Originally built as a summer vacation home, this is where learned to swim, row a skiff, fish for Mackerel and Flounder, and dig for clams. Summers at the cottage created life long memories; it was a place we always loved to visit as children, and still enjoy as adults.
Why Bob and Chuck chose East Boothbay
Beautiful oceanfront location, charming ambiance, new bathrooms, new renovations, new beds.
What makes this Cottage unique
Perfect place for fishing, sailing, and kayaking. Hike along the old Indian Trail to Boothbay Harbor. Short drive to Ocean Point or slightly longer to Damariscotta or Pemaquid Point which offers a beautiful sandy beach and one of the most picturesque lighthouses in the world.

A perfect spot to unwind.
Quiet, comfortable and plenty of space for the extended family. It was all we had hoped for.
This was an absolutely lovely house. It had everything you need to have a wonderful Maine experience. The house was the exact picture of Maine. The community was wonderful, the views were amazing. It was a great location for day trips. The owners were wonderful. My 8 year old loved fishing and swimming off the pier, my 10 year old enjoyed swimming and collecting sea glass. The deck over looking the water was better than the pictures. Truly beautiful! The house was clean and roomy. I would absolutely recommend this home for any family.
For our family's first destination away trip to celebrate major milestone birthdays, this lovely vacation cottage, well-loved by its owner family, worked wonderfully for our group of 5 adult kids & Us-(Mom & Dad). The owner brothers answered ALL our many questions responsively prior & checked in with Us throughout the entire process from inquiry to follow-up afterward--including GREAT local & drive-able suggestions for fun places to explore-(DEF the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse-only about an hour away)-legendary seafood & local stores for 'home cooking' in the ample full kitchen & any supplies as needed. The bedrooms ALL with comfy beds both up & downstairs & 2 newly remodeled bathrooms-(both downstairs)-plenty of space for ALL in our adult group to seek their own space or be together in the rustic common living area adjoining the open kitchen & enjoy each other's company!
Our grown kids felt we'd returned to a time & place from My husband's & my past, & we liked the quaint charm that the cottage brought back to our memories with its comfortable furniture & Sea village decor & books to read-(with more time)-though I did read all about growth cycle of Lobsters!
Arriving for the Labor Day weekend, lucky with warm comfortable weather never needing more than a light sweater/sweatshirt including at the breathtaking ocean's edge, we were expertly guided to the cabin with owners clear EZ directions- even though late at night & not too far off the main road to town at all! -[& this came in very handy when one of our sons needed early AM medical care with a clinic nearby!]
Though our weekend was quick, we enjoyed walking through the pretty East coast town of Booth Bay Harbor-checking out the places suggested close by & then returning after long daily outings to our peaceful cottage-cabin for a relaxing family evening-with ALL needs met...
& leaving the BEST to share for last: the Ever peacefully Relaxing View of the beautiful Bay off the back deck was what we ALL coveted every AM sunrise with our wake-up drinks-where time seemed to stand still-including watching the sea birds dive for food to feed their chicks crying in their nests across the bay-as binoculars showed us. We can't wait to return!
great house, great owners
Really pretty cottage with an amazing view that is always changing (tides, weather, wildlife), you can tell that it is well-loved by its owners. We spent a lot of time out of the house, exploring the area, but it was always so nice to come back to such a cozy, inviting place at the end of the day. The updates that have been made to the cottage are impressive (master bedroom, both bathrooms - beautiful decor, really nice work) and it is just another way you can tell that the owners care a lot about the property. We were able to meet one of the owners and it was nice to talk to him and hear a bit more about the house and the area. The whole experience made us feel like we were staying at a friend's place, and between the views and the care put into the cottage, we were extremely happy and relaxed guests!
Beautiful ocean front views from a great cottage !
We rented the cottage with our adult children, spouses & toddlers. As we arrived we were struck by the beautiful ocean view. The cottage was clean, spacious, with comfortable beds. The cottage has a portable crib & bath tub for toddlers. The newly renovated bathrooms have plenty of towels. We cooked on the grill, relaxing on the deck with the constant gentle breeze.
We hope to return next year for another memorable family reunion, to a great cottage.
Beautiful Water Views
On our trip back East for the First Time, we really hit the JackPot!
I had heard of the Beauties of Maine, but my expectations were surpassed.
BoothBay Harbor is a quaint town, the water has many opportunities waiting for you.
But after a busy day it is a treat to come and relax in this cozy inviting cottage. Room for your
Family, with 2 updated Baths. You can tell it is well loved and cared for. We loved the views from the deck,
I could have spent a lot of time there, but the Family loved being on the go.
We had everything we needed and enjoyed grilling and even had a fabulous Lobster Dinner.
The Family was so easy to work with and made our stay comfortable and stress free. I would not hesitate to return or recommend this Home to friends........Thank You again.
East Boothbay is well-known world-wide in the boat building communities. In May of 1968, the replica of the schooner yacht America was built in East Boothbay for the Schaefer Brewing Company. Hodgdon Yachts has continued a family tradition for a century now. In 1999, the yard was commissioned to build the 124 ft. Schooner Antonisa, and in 2003, the Scheherazade, measuring out at 157.4ft. – the largest vessel to slide down their ways. The East Boothbay's Ocean Point area offers excellent rocky Maine coastline for walking, tide pool exploration, and the perfect vantage point for taking in the islands, lighthouses, boat traffic, sea birds, and salt air. One of the Boothbay Region Land Trust properties can be explored as well.
