About Michael Tikunoff

I absolutely LOVE Mammoth. I've been going there for 12 years in winter, spring, summer and fall. I just can't get enough of the beauty and outdoor recreation the place has to offer. My ultimate goal that I hope to realize in the next 1-3 years is to relocate there and call it my full time home.

Michael Tikunoff purchased this condo in 2013

Why Michael Tikunoff chose Mammoth Mountain

My partners and I choose this property due to the proximity to the Village and Lakes Basin. I utilize the condo in the winter for snowboarding and Canyon is my favorite base lodge. My partners are summer enthusiasts and will use it as home base for their many hiking expeditions.

Great Studio in a Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying in Hidden Valley #21! It's a very nice Studio - perfect for a couple. There's a wood burning stove that really puts out great heat and provides a cozy atmosphere. The bed is super comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for those that like to cook their own meals. I especially enjoyed the extra large coffee cups and nice coffee maker! The free wi-fi and extra TV viewing options were really appreciated. And when you want to unplug, there are family games like Yahtzee and Scrabble to play. The hot tub in the complex is a welcome relief after a day of hard skiing - it's always hot and clean. And you can't get a better location - we walked to the Village gondola everyday to go skiing - only about 5 - 7 minutes. No ski locker to have to pay for! And Mammoth Brewing Company, along with other great dining/shopping options, are also right there in the Village. The Studio can accommodate up to 4 people, which for my taste might be a little tight, but could be great for a family. You can't go wrong with the amenities, location and price of Hidden Valley #21!

Amazing location and accomodations!

  • 5 of 5

This property is a perfect getaway for a couple or group of 4. The studio has enough space that you don't feel like you are right on top of each other when the bed is pulled out. The driveways and parking spots were well maintained by the property management, so it with all the snow it kept getting in and out of the studio very easy. Property management and neighboring owners were all very friendly, and made you feel right at home!

The kitchen and table are big enough to make plenty of meals, and there were enough utensils to get through the basics. The wifi was a very good signal, and the TV was great for being snowed in! The jacuzzi was about 100 yards away which was a bit of a stretch in the snow, so my only suggestion would be to bring extra towels so you have a towel for the chlorine and shower. There was a shovel provided if your car had gotten snowed in so that made digging out very easy! The hardest part was finding the dumpster in the snow, but the one down by the managers office was kept up from snowfall so you could find it.

We also were snowed in for an additional day, and the owner was more than accommodating to ensure our safety from the storm.

By far the best part of this place was the LOCATION. It was a 5 minute walk to Mammoth Brewing Co, and the Village which has plenty of restaurants and shops. It was an easy walk to the gondola that took you right to the MTN. There is also a ticket window at the village which made for much less of a line after getting off the gondola! We literally hardly touched our car for 6 days because everything we wanted was so close.

I would highly recommend this affordable studio to anyone that is looking for a nice easy getaway!

Fabulous little cosy ski Condo

  • 5 of 5

This place is fantastic, with all you require in it for a great ski holiday. We stayed in the middle of a winter snow storm. We were warm and comfortable in the apartment and outside the caretakers worked constantly to keep the driveway and carpark areas clear of snow as well as the entrance stairs and decks. Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants and Mammoth Brewing Company - Craft Beer bar and restaurant. This place is wicked and would recommend it for a couple. It is just like the photos.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

I recently stayed here with three friends on a four-day trip. The condo isn't big, but four adult males managed to fit in here without issue. You can walk to the village in five minutes where the buses will take you wherever you need to go. While I did use my car a few times, I could have easily left it in the parking lot the entire trip.

The kitchen is well stocked and everything was clean. The condo does have a heating system, but the wood-burning stove is the primary source of heat. It is easy enough to use and the owner provides clear instructions (plus plenty of firewood) to ensure the condo stays warm. Just get some newspapers and kindling to make starting a fire easier on yourself.

We had an excellent stay here and will definitely be back. If you need a lot of personal space, can't make it up two flights of stairs, or don't want to build a fire every night, then you should look elsewhere. For those who aren't worried about these, you won't find a better deal in Mammoth than this location.

Convenient and absolutely perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This place was fabulous and I'm so glad I found it. There were just 2 of us and it was comfortable. Room for 4 but it would be a little cozy. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need - utensils, pots, pans, dishes, toaster, blender, coffee maker, etc. I was pleasantly surprised. The pool and spa are clean. The neighborhood it's in is very peaceful and relaxing. It's about a 3 minute walk over to the village, which was nice. Short drive to everything else - grocery store, gondola, etc. It's also right by the start of the paved bike path that goes throughout mammoth with great views, made it easy to wake up and go for a run. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner is very nice and accommodating and responds quickly to emails. I would recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.
