Guestbook comments from the owner

"We had a wonderful trip here. I LOVE your home!!! It is so cozy and open! I love the view, yard and have already seen a beautiful deer wander through the back yard! Oh and a hummingbird too!!! We picked the perfect home for us! My (adult) kids already told me I did a great job finding your home and Glacier NP is definitely the most beautiful place I have ever seen! We have hiked every day and so far the Grinnel Glacier was my favorite... Simply breath taking! I actually teared up when I saw it! We have seen bear, moose, goats, sheep, elk, marmot and your back yard deer!!! Your home is perfect for us! I just love it! We could not have asked for a nicer place to call home while we have been away! Oh and one of the main reason I picked the beginning of August was for the wild flowers....the meadows have been full of color! Exactly what I was hoping for and more beautiful than I expected!

I am so sad to leave your home and the beautiful mountains and meadows that we have enjoyed so much! Thank you for sharing your home with us...if I ever move here a duplicate of your house would be a dream come true."

peaceful retreat near Glacier National Park

  • 5 of 5

My family of 4 enjoyed 6 days at this private and spacious cabin on 2 acres. The house had all the modern conveniences we are used to (except for A/C and a waste disposal unit in the sink) and had a beautiful view of a lovely grassy lawn and forest from the living room and kitchen. The lack of A/C was not a problem, even in mid-July, as the temperature rapidly cooled off at sunset. We had fun with a campfire in the fire pit and identifying all the constellations in brilliant display at night. Plus, the cabin is only a 10 minute drive from the west entrance to Glacier National Park, where we went each day to experience the amazing scenery and wildlife. This house had the perfect combination of proximity to the park and privacy, and rates as one of the best vacation rentals (out of many) that we have stayed at. Heather, the host, was in touch both at the start and end of our stay to be sure that things were OK. Overall, I rate it an outstanding and memorable experience.

A wonderful vacation to Glacier National Park

  • 5 of 5

This is an incredible home. My boyfriend and I went with our 4 adult children. There was plenty of room for everyone to eat, hang out and sleep. The fire out outside was a cool place to hang out after hiking at the park all day. The home is so close to the West entrance that is made it easy to get in and out of the park. Very cozy and comfortable. Heather was wonderful to work with too and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We would definitely come back. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Tranquil Montana get-away, close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 (2 adults + 8 & 10 year olds) really enjoyed our stay. The house is well stocked with everything needed. (And perfect for kids, with plenty of room to play and games for quiet times). The best part is that it is minutes from GNP, so getting to and from those fun hikes is as easy as pie.

Great location for families and very thoughtful owners!

  • 5 of 5

The location is beautiful and very convenient for trips into Glacier National Park. The owners were very helpful and hospitable. The home itself is well maintained, the yard is perfect and the fire pit is a nice touch. While our family of four and our small dog were there, it was very warm so we brought a few box fans to help keep the air circulated in the afternoons. One of the realities of living in bear country and where trash services are unavailable is that if you stay for several days, you will need to take your trash to the nearby dump. Please note the times when the dump is open and don't wait until the last minute to go. We took the trash in the evening of our last night and found it was already closed. Our plan had been to leave very early the next day and waiting for it to open would have slowed us down by several hours. Thankfully, the owners were able to assist us and we were able to get on the road as planned.

There are several restaurants in the area, there is a good grocery store not too far down the road and numerous gas stations. The home is exactly as advertised and we would welcome the opportunity to stay there again in the future!

Heather has thought of everything

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It really does look just like the pictures, and it is well stocked with everything you need. We have stayed at other properties where we had to run to the store to pick up toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and even condiments like salt, pepper and sugar, but not here. Heather has thought of everything. There was no icemaker in the freezer, but the ice cube trays had all been filled prior to our arrival and we had plenty of ice. I forgot to pack my hair dryer but voila! there one was right in the bathroom for me to use. There was a citronella candle to use while sitting on the porch in the evening. We bought bear spray to carry in the park and then realized there was a can of that in the house as well (so whoever comes after us now has two cans for their use! lol) . There are comfy throw pillows on the beds and furniture, and a throw that is so soft I am going to have to find out where to get one of my own! Plenty of towels and washcloths in the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable, and the room darkening shades were perfect, especially once we realized it doesn't get dark until late and the sun is up very early! The only things the master bedroom was missing were a bedside lamp and an alarm clock, but we could have moved one of the small living room lamps into the bedroom now that I think of it. (and we really only needed an alarm clock twice -- once to get up early for a boat trip we had booked and 2nd because our flight home was before the crack of dawn). I was a bit worried about the lack of air conditioning, since I live in an area where AC is a must, but Heather was absolutely right -- you don't need it there. Opening the windows and doors in the evenings (with fans going) cools down the house very nicely. It was a great home away from home for us and we definitely recommend it.

Relaxing Montana vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in your home! We loved our nightly fires in the fire pit...complete with S'mores! The house was well-stocked and welcoming. The beds were cozy and we truly felt 'at home' here. I would highly recommend this home for many reasons. The location is fantastic! Just a few miles from Glacier makes it ideal. My dog enjoyed her freedom in the grassy yard too. Thank you for opening your home to us!
