About Alicia

Welcome to Eagle Point at Lake Adger. As my guest, my goal is to provide an atmosphere of genuine comfort in a warm, relaxed yet refined log cabin where good memories can be made. Pictured here with my two sons.

Why Alicia chose Blue Ridge Mountains

Purchased property in 1998 to camp, swim, canoe, and fish on with my family and black lab. Log cabin built in 2007 by Seay Construction.

What makes this cabin unique

Peaceful and serene three season log cabin on wooded lot within easy driving distance from Charlotte, Asheville and Greenville/Spartanburg SC. Favorite time of day - late afternoon sunset over sparkling water. "Sparkle Time"! Our sanctuary in the woods. Near all the local treasures.

Great Cabin very beautiful setting.

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Alicia, Owner was great to work with and all the previous reviews are spot on. Everything provided that you can think of for a great lake cabin get away as we were able to take the kayaks out on three different occasions. Only suggestion would recommend bringing a couple of dish towels if you prefer dish towels over sponges.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to have you back again in the future. For future reference, a supply of kitchen towels are located in the drawer to the left of the pantry. Pot holders are in the same drawer so it's possible you saw the pot holders and didn't think to look for the towels which may have been towards the back of the drawer or underneath the potholders. Or, maybe you just didn't open this drawer. I'll make a note in by book for other guests so they can find them. Sincerely, Alicia

Wonderful and unexpected rental

  • 5 of 5

I use reviews mainly when deciding where to rent our vacation home. First off the owner of this home was very communicative and helpful.

As far as the property, going into the home it was really like going into someone's home they are living in. No musty, 70's interior or ragged out anything here. This home is in a private neighborhood with long individual driveways. Houses are spaced a ways apart. There were no barking dogs, traffic, screaming kids or partying it was just silence, dead silence except for birds and crickets.

The kitchen had every pan, pot, glass, strainer & spice you could imagine. The fridge was full of condiments so if you forgot something at the store chances are high you will have it at hand. The rooms were very well kept again it was like the owners just left and let us take over the home. The screen in porch was where we spent a lot of time. So nice to spend time out there and eat meals due to the September weather. We would have slept outside but did not have our air mattress. We watched some movies in the loft, Red Box at Ingles.

The water was great with a open area all the way down to the dock. Only saw about 6 boats over the 4 day stay. The wife & daughter floated and used the provided kayaks to sight-see. I fished, alot, but never caught a single bream or bass. I used many different rooster tails and worms/bobbers and not one bite. The lake must have been too cold, 64 degrees, and I chose this rental primarily for the fishing. The saving grace was when we fished together and I tried bottom fishing with red worms. We caught 2 blues & 8 green catfish in a short period. I will have to try again maybe in the springtime.

You can sit on the screen porch and watch the hummingbirds feed to the left of the screen door. We used the firepit 2 nights to make smores. It was so quiet and peaceful. There wasn't anything we could have asked for to be different. If only every rental was like this one.

One of The Best Vacations Ever!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cabin! It was one of the best vacations we've ever had. Our family enjoyed swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sitting out on the porch, making campfires down by the lake at night, walking our dog, hiking and so much more! We can't wait to come back. Thank you, Alicia.

Best place ever!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the lake house so much that words can't do it justice! The property was beautiful (even more than the pictures). Attention to every detail and immaculate. With beautiful light wood throughout the house. The view was awesome! We enjoyed the canoe, kayaks, walking trail, an information book, hot tub, and the peacefulness of the trip. We used the gas grill both nights there! We have rented other places but this cabin was the best! Thank you so much!!!

Sublime setting and impressive decor

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed a long weekend at the property, which met and exceeded our expectations. The owner has decorated the home in a warm, practical and attractive way, making it easy to settle in quickly. The canoe, kayaks and fishing poles helped deliver a ready-made nature weekend, and the fire pit and available firewood enabled us to finish the day with s'mores over the fire.

The view from the screened porch down to the water is really perfect, giving the sensation of seeing, but not being seen.
