Welcome to The Clamdigger Cottage, a peaceful waterfront retreat where the rhythms of the tides shape the day.

Perched above the quiet tidal flats of Downeast Maine, the cottage offers expansive water views, warm coastal charm, and the kind of deep quiet that is increasingly hard to find. In the early morning, you may see local clam diggers crossing the flats as seabirds glide over the bay. In the evening, sunsets stretch across the water before giving way to some of the clearest night skies in New England.

Whether you're enjoying coffee on the screened porch, reading in the airy loft, or sitting beside the firepit overlooking the water, The Clamdigger Cottage invites you to slow down and settle into the natural rhythms of the coast.

Beautiful cottage. Beautiful and peaceful spot. Loved sitting outside on the Adirondacks and watching the bird life as the tide changed. Bed was very comfortable.

Amazing! We had the best time and it was such a well-stocked, comfortable cottage. It is literally ON the water and we got to wake up to watch literal clam diggers in the low tide each morning, and sea gulls hunting clams each night. This was our favorite getaway ever with our kids, we’re already planning a trip back!

Cozy cabin. Beautifully decorated with all the amenities of home. Bed was very comfortable. Amazing views of the waterfront. Enjoyed relaxing by the fire and overlooking the tide come in. Fun exploring the mud flats at low tide. Screened porch was a great place to enjoy meals and game nights without having to worry about the bugs. Convenient location to explore Jasper beach and Acadia. Highly recommend this lovely relaxing piece of heaven.

The Clamdigger Cottage was the highlight of our Maine vacation! From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with this peaceful waterfront retreat. The views of the changing tides were mesmerizing, and each evening ended with beautiful sunsets and the quiet sounds of Downeast Maine.The cottage was immaculate, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. It truly felt like a home away from home.Its location was perfect for exploring the region. We spent unforgettable days visiting the Schoodic Peninsula, Jasper Beach with its incredible “singing stones,” Acadia National Park, and the charming fishing villages along the coast. One of our favorite memories was buying fresh mud clams directly from local fishermen, a quintessential Maine experience.Amy was an outstanding host. Her kindness, generosity, and attention to every detail made us feel like welcomed friends rather than guests. She was always available to answer questions and made sure our stay was seamless from beginning to end.If you’re looking for an authentic Maine coastal getaway, away from the crowds but close to some of the state’s most beautiful scenery, look no further than the Clamdigger Cottage. We left with unforgettable memories and hope to return one day.Thank you, Amy, for sharing your magical cottage with us. We LOVED staying at the Clamdigger!! Watching the tides come in and out was super cool for our little Texas family and the home was comfy and within perfect distances to all the spots we wanted to visit!
