This home has an amazing view of the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor with full amenities

Welcome to the Harborview in the Seabright neighborhood of Santa Cruz. We are nestled in the lower harbor with our deck looking onto the harbor and stairs leading directly to the boats. Our main home has 3 bedrooms: each have a queen bed and in the bunk bedroom there is a queen bed in the loft area of the bunk bedroom. A stacked washer and dryer are also in the bunk bedroom. It has 3 full bathrooms. There is a claw foot tub in one of the bathrooms with a harbor view. An additional detached bonus room with queen bed and a full bathroom with shower is on an lower level is available as well.

You can take the walking trail to the beach or in the summer the water taxi to the shops and restaurants nearby. There are many activities you can do within walking distance for example: Kayak, Surf, Body Board, skim board, bonfires, beach volleyball, sailing, climbing, and more.

About Jody

I have enjoyed walks to the lighthouse, the beach, the restaurants, and to the local Verve Coffee House as well. I intermittently return here to enjoy the natural beauty of the area and activities such as kayaking and hiking in the nearby magnificent state parks: Wilder Ranch, Natural Bridges, and Nisene Marks. The home is available as a vacation rental at the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor and Seabright Beach neighborhood. It is managed by SurfCity-Rentals in Capitola with Jody and Haley as the property managers.

Why Jody chose Seabright

The property is unique and fabulous because while most places with Harbor or Ocean Views are on small lots, this one is on a double lot and so the views are from the ground floor level from the harbor view wrap around deck.

What makes this house unique

I love how the wrap around deck gives relaxing and lovely views of the Santa Cruz Harbor. These breathtaking views of the sailboats and the Monterey Bay can be enjoyed from the hot tub on the deck as well.

Wedding Festivities!

We rented this beautiful house and cottage for a week in which to host family and friends attending our daughter's wedding. It easily slept 10 people. It's a great party house where we held a family dinner for 30, a bridal shower, post -wedding brunch, and many happy meals. This is an easy -flow house that has every accoutrement you have at home! Exquisite views from a huge, gorgeous deck! Highly recommended! I wish we could do it all again!

Great location!

The property can't be beat. It was in a great location the kitchen was awesome, the deck truly amazing.

There were some spiders and bugs in the lower room, but that is typical for a "lower" room. Hardly worth a fuss.

Became one of our favorite rentals.

We loved the HarvorView house, it was spacious and cozy at the same time. There were 'ooh's and ha's' from the moment we walked in and even more when we stepped outside to the wrap-around deck. Thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi and the cozy bedrooms -the downstairs bonus room was a great option too even if the bed was a bit uncomfortable.

Overall we loved the house and will be looking to book it again next year. Thank you!!

Great location and beautiful view

This home is beautifully situated close to the beach in a lovely neighborhood. It's also a very easy walk to the Boardwalk, a market, and Verve coffee. It could have been a five star if it was better maintained. Here are the issues we experienced: sliding door to deck VERY difficult to open and close, closet doors off the tracks and broken, fireplace in kitchen did not work, no beach toys or tv in master (both items in description or guest info book), two cereal bowls, one kitchen towel, two bath towels in each bath except for one room with three, front outdoor lights inoperable. The property manager, Hallie, was quick to respond to our needs - she delivered new kitchen towels and beach toys immediately, as well as tried to schedule service for both the fireplace and the sliding door to deck (neither took place during our week). But when paying nearly $700 per night, our preference would have been that we never needed to call the property manager at all. It seems that a walk-thru by the managers would have revealed all the issues. (note on the towel situation: there may have been additional ones in the owner's closet, but it was marked "keep out")

This house needs maintenance

Great location and nice decks/views.

The house is not 3500 square feet - it is smaller.

The bunk bedroom does not have a queen size bed - just twins.

We had to call the management many times to deal with maintenance problems. They were very responsive but the house needs to be better maintained between renters.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback about the house. We do our best to provide a clean, comfortable rental, so that you can enjoy your vacation with your family. Just to re-cap some of your requests during your stay: We approved your request to drop items off at the house early for your convenience. We responded to every one of your requests or complaints within minutes which included your text at 10pm at night asking why there was only 2 sets of towels in the bathroom when there was a lined closet full of extra towels for you to use. The BBQ regulator stopped working and we had 4 working BBQ's on the deck by that afternoon, ready for your party that you had planned. You texted about the toilets running and we had a plumber at the property within the hour and he confirmed there was absolutely nothing wrong with the toilets. When the slider door was "sticking" we had the handyman come fix it again with the hour. Had we known about the dishwasher, we would have sent the appliance repairmen. It has now been fixed for the next guest. I hope that you were able to actually relax with your family during the part of your stay when you were not busy texting and calling us about the above requests.

We are located on the Santa Cruz Harbor. You can take our steps to the beach to the right or left side of the harbor. Left side is a locals spot for beach volleyball and the right side is more for families to relax or have a bonfire. You can walk to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk or one of the eateries in the neighborhood.

Santa Cruz is full of outdoor activities but we also have serval museums that are rich in community culture. We have live music at night or serval theater events that happen seasonally in the community.

We have the University bringing in events and speakers enriching our eclectic Santa Cruz community.

We are situated between two world class surf breaks. Pleasure Point to the east and Cowels and The Lane to the West. There are unlimited places to surf or play in the ocean.

Come and enjoy one of our many things Santa Cruz has to offer.
