About Steve Shepard
I have lived in the Bay Area my entire life and have no intent of leaving. Between Marin, Sonoma and Tahoe I can; bike, hike, ski, eat, dine and play just about anything with some of the worlds great people.
Steve Shepard purchased this House in 2013
Why Steve Shepard chose Sonoma
Having lived in the Bay Area my entire life I truly believe Sonoma is one of the great hidden gems of the world (and yes I have traveled extensively. The best comparison I have found is the slow pace of Southern France) Where Napa may have the name for wine, Sonoma has access to all the great wine PLUS small old town charm. The Sonoma Square (one of two, Healdsburg is the other) offers a relaxed atmosphere that has not changed 100 years. This is also the birth place of California for the history buffs. El Mirador (from Spanish, from mirar to look, affording a view of the surroundings) offers unparalleled views from Mount Tamalpais past Mount Diablo, in the middle, through the east bay. Truly amazing on a clear day. All while less then 5 minutes (under 2 miles) from the square. Read the reviews as pictures just cannot do it justice. The house was fully remodeled in 2014 and has all the bells and whistles you could ever ask for while keeping the quite of this tranquil hilltop location. You will not be disappointed. heaven in Sonoma
Absolutely amazing property! Everything was perfect, we highly recommend this property!
We rented this beautiful house for a girls weekend. It was perfect...so comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with every cooking utensil you could think of. The owner was super nice and accommodating. Would definitely return!
El Mirador provided an excellent home base for our time In Sonoma with 3 other couples.
Nice privacy with each of the 4 bedrooms and baths. With a great gathering space for 8 in the kitchen, living room and patio areas. The view are spectacular.
January stay in Sonoma
This property has a great cooking kitchen with everything you’d need. The home is beautifully decorated. It’s very close to the square (8 min drive). We traveled with a baby so having the detached Carraige house with 2 bedrooms in there made it convenient for naps and sleeping when others were not. Unfortunately with it being winter we were unable to use the pool but this would be a great asset in the warmer months. The sunrises you see from the kitchen, dining room and master bedroom are beautiful!
Privacy and Luxury
Our stay in Sonoma was better than we could have imagined! Our rental home was clean, attractively decorated, well appointed and very comfortable for our family of 6. The location was private and close to town. Watching the sun rise over the mountains started our day off right! And sipping wine or dining in the evening in the screen enclosed dining area with heaters was even better. The kitchen had everything you might need to prepare your own meals. The coffee maker is top quality, as are all of the appliances. And the beds and bedding are wonderfully comfortable. When you arrive, the intro to the home is well organized and easy to understand and everything is well marked. The home is as described, and Steve is available for any questions that you might have. We look forward to returning to our new "Sonoma home!"
3 minute drive to the square, yet in the country side!
