Escape To The Quiet Side Of The Mountains With A Private Stream - Sleeps 12
About Hunter Turner
Since 1986 our family has been escaping to the mountains of Robbinsville, North Carolina to reconnect with nature, explore, and of course create lifelong memories with our family. We have hiked every trail, taught our two boys to fish here, and shared endless gatherings with family and friends. Every season offers an exciting new set of adventures and scenery. The winter snow, spring wild flowers, summer trout, and fall leaves are just the beginning of what you can expect to find. We invite you to come create memories, share new adventures, and take in the sights and sounds of this nature escape.

Why Hunter Turner chose Robbinsville
After vacationing here as a child, we knew this was an experience we wanted to share with our children. Over the years, we searched for the perfect mountain home only to create our own private escape of several residences. Today we own four mountain homes in Robbinsville and look forward to sharing them with you, your family, and friends.
What makes this Cabin unique
When you arrive at the Homestead on Huffman Creek, it may take you a few minutes to unwind. Grab your favorite book - or e-reader - head to the porch, hot tub, hammock, or stream, and prepare for a trip of pure relaxation. Our favorite thing to do is prepare a 'breakfast extravaganza' each morning for the few early risers in the bunch. Prepare a pile of pancakes for those morning lovers and let the rest stay snuggled in bed. Best of all, by the time those morning lovers wrap up, the rest of us are about ready for a day of hiking, exploring, and sometimes napping. It's just the right size home to offer a good combination of gathering spaces and privacy.

Beautiful Place in the mountains
This property was in the heart of this mountain! You could hear the stream from the house and the view were wonderful! The house was perfect for our large family! My family enjoyed hiking to the waterfall and our grandsons loved hiking to the water and up the mountain side! We built a fire and roasted marshmallows and my family enjoyed the hot tub! I was worried about being warm with the space heaters but we actually had to turn them down due to getting too warm! Frank the manager was quick to respond the first night we got there and was very helpful and friendly! We hope to go back and stay again!
Thanks, Kersti! It was wonderful hosting you all and we look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.
Piece of Heaven!
The Homestead Cabin is amazing. The property has so much to offer. We hiked all of the private trails that meander through the forests with spectacular spots by the rushing creeks to relax. We spent almost the entire week within Huffman Retreat, there was no reason to leave! The attention to detail that the Turners (owners) have put into the cabins and the property are stunning. They have allowed nature to be the beauty while the cabin gives you all of the amenities to feel pampered! We will be back, again and again!
Thanks so much! We are so glad you had an incredible time exploring Huffman and can't wait to welcome you back again very soon. Safe travels!
Nice place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Very well kept place. Mr. Frank the property manager is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Our family loved spending time together here on the property. Lots of trails to hike, a stream to play in, and plenty of hammocks to relax in. Plenty of space for our family of five. We would love to come back and relax again!
Truly wonderful experience!
My husband, six children and I spent six days here last month. The cabin was beautifully decorated with a lot of fun touches, and there was plenty of space for people to spread out. Everything was clean when we arrived and the room air conditioners were blowing cold. We were a bit turned around with the trail maps at first, but we ran into Frank, the on-site property manager, while we were headed out on our first hike, and he helped us out. We went out on hikes or played in the creek every day, and it was so nice to not have to get into the car first and drive to a trail. We were a little worried about the roads based on other reviews, but we had no problems driving them with our loaded down minivan.
My husband and I brought our adult children and our young grands. We all loved our stay. Out of the entire week, we left the property for other activities only twice. The property has hiking, outdoor relaxing in hammocks or by a campfire. The kids were in love with the creek and spent hours splashing and exploring there. It is very remote but that’s what made it so wonderful. If you go, check out that night sky!
Thanks, Karen! Glad you had an awesome trip. Can't wait to welcome you all back for your next family reunion.
Nice quiet house
We really enjoyed the house, fire pit, hotub, the only negative was we had motorcycles and trailers and the rodes are not safe for them, we rented storage units in town and left the bikes and trailers there. But house had e everthing we needed and Frank the grounds man was great
Thanks for the feedback, Emil! We are definitely off the beaten path. While we do our very best to convey the nature of the property we do understand that some folks miss the note about gravel. Thanks for sharing! We hope others will gain a bit of knowledge from your review. That said, it was a pleasure hosting you all and I'm so glad we were able to make everything work out. Safe travels on all your journeys!
