While vacationing in this home you'll have 600 square feet of beautifully custom built private living space on the second floor above the quiet downstairs Helios Arts Center. It has one bedroom and a bathroom to the north and a larger living area on the naturally lit south side. The fully functioning kitchen/dining area is open to the living space where you'll find a hide-a-bed couch and Comcast cabled TV/WiFi. Winter renters need not fear cold feet as the in-floor radiant heat will keep you nice and comfy.
611 Sopris Avenue is a block away from Sopris Park, home of the Mountain Fair and many fun-filled activities for all ages. One more block of walking brings you to downtown Carbondale, a great little town with its own pool, unique shopping and first class yummy restaurants.
Carbondale, lying at the base of beautiful Mt. Sopris where the Crystal and the Roaring Fork Rivers meet, is filled with year round outdoor fun of all sorts in any direction you decide to go. Our rental is nestled in the heart of a gorgeous valley with Aspen at one end and Glenwood Hot Springs pool at the other, with a convenient RAFTA bus service connecting these locations. This is a wonderful place to visit!
This is a photo taken in May 2014 on the day that we completed the formal purchase (through a modern day miracle!) of this wonderful property from our dear friends who lovingly created this home and ADU rental with their own hands in 2007. Gratitude abounds that this happened only a month after moving back to Carbondale from the UK!

We moved to Carbondale to be close to the warmth of our large family and friends. This is a place to simply be, to nourish one's sense of wonder ~ creativity ~ peace ~ and curiosity. We love our new property and are looking forward to welcoming many visitors to Carbondale!
We loved the little apartment and it was so nice to have our dog with us for the weekend. It was so close to town we were able to walk pretty much everywhere and Helena was very accommodating. We'd definitely come back again!
Our family (two adults, two college-age kids) spent three days in the apartment and found it to live up to the description on VRBO's site, and to our expectations: A welcoming, helpful, and personable owner who took pride in the apartment; A comfortable, warm, clean, modern, and well-maintained & well-stocked unit; Close proximity to Main St. attractions and a central location to enjoy the area's hot springs, hiking, and snowshoeing. Phat Thai restaurant on Main St has marvelous food. Property Recommendation: "yes, absolutely," we'll be back ourselves.
Really nice place. Quiet, comfortable, and cozy. We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed each one!
We had a great stay at their place. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the location couldn't be better. The owner was very responsive and made our booking very easy. It was also wonderful to find a place that welcomed our well behaved dog! I would definitely recommend this place and would certainly come back.
We had a great stay this fall. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need. The location is great - close to downtown Carbondale, making it easy to get to everything. We loved that we could bring our dog too. The owners were also very nice.
