This Secluded Cabin is just steps from the beautiful Ellijay River. Listen to the water rush by as you relax on the back screen porch or on the deck overlooking the river. You can relax in the hot tub or read a book sitting on our big rocking chairs. Use the firepit to roast your marshmellows or hot dogs or fire up the grill for your favorite steaks, burgers, or prized grilled chicken dish. You can stroll down this secluded road and visit with some of the local horses, donkeys, or goats or play an outdoor game in the big back yard. You will surely relax in this cozey cabin. Build a wood fire in the fireplace, make a drink, put your feet up and watch the stress slip away.

Quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to get away from city life. Everything slows down when you get here.
Close to Ellijay and Blue Ridge
The cabin is beautiful and located in a great spot. It had all the items you would need if you chose to stay there and never leave for a few days or if you chose to adventure out. We walked in to a cute welcome 'basket' on the table with a few 'necessities' (shampoo/conditioner/body wash/shaver). That was a sweet, welcoming touch. During out stay, we had a few issues. We were also welcomed by fleas. My husband stood on the living room rug and his legs were covered with fleas. Because there is no cell service at the cabin, I tried to contact the local contact that was listed on the sheet posted on the table, on the house phone, but the phone call would not go through. We finally found flea spray and sprayed. By the end of the 2nd day, we didn't notice as many fleas. The jets in the hot tub also didn't work. Again, I couldn't contact the local contact person. We were a little disappointed in the "River" located at the cabin. Where we come from it is called a creek. It also is not totally secluded. There is another cabin close by, which was also occupied when we were there, and you can see your neighbors. If you have pets and not looking for a river to fish at the cabin, this place is great. If you don't have indoor pets and want to walk out the back door and fish, this is not the place. On the positive side, there is a gas grill and wonderful screened in porch, with fans, that is super nice. We enjoyed eating breakfast and dinner on the porch each day. There were also games, books and a foosball table to entertain yourselves. The local area, Ellijay and Blue Ridge, offer opportunities to visit apple orchards, trout fishing, kayaking, zip lining, hiking. Great area to visit!
Enjoyed the rustic environment of this cabin. Great place for our children and pups. Spacious green area for playing croquet, bocce ball or just throwing the frisbee. Fun times even when raining by playing foosball in the recreational loft. Hot tub was welcome after long hikes and relaxing in the cool evenings. Screened porch offered wondrous place to open french doors and enjoy the crisp morning air while listening to the gurgling river. Our fourth time at Great Waters - name of the cabin.
(one downside, it's 5.5 miles to the closest place to get milk, so plan ahead :-) Oh, and NO signal with AT&T.)
We loved this cabin and the creek so close the the house. We fed the horses , played in the creek...so relaxing. We will stay here again!
Cabin is very clean.
We had a super relaxing vacation. This felt so cabin like and was exactly what we were looking for. We live at the beach and it's always tough to find a place we would like just as much as we love home. This clean, well stocked cabin was beyond wonderful! The creek was a ton of fun! The yard was such a great size. They had everything you could think of needing. The area had so much to do...we went rafting with raft one in Tennessee and it was just a short 40 minute drive. We went to the big foot expedition which was cute and there were 2 amazing hikes to waterfalls right in the area. We only did a 4 day weekend and would have loved to stay longer. It was perfect for my kids ranging from 14-22...there was something for everyone! Awesome family get away!
My husband and I live in Atlanta and wanted to get away from the city without having to travel far. Even leaving in Friday traffic getting there was pretty easy. I love the mountains, but hate the winding roads. Ellijay give you the view without the motion sickness. The cabin was perfect! very clean and well kept. Had everything you needed, but not too far from grocery stores if you forgot something. They even had a large kennel and dog treats for our 4 legged kids. The weather was very cold, so we didn't get out much, but the cabin was so comfortable that was fine. There was a great fire place and plenty of games to keep us entertained. You can even see the river from the living room couch and with no leaves on the trees you could see the sun hitting the mountains. We can't wait to return!
This was a truly incredible place to go and get away. The location was away from the hustle and bustle and everything that I wanted and needed. Everything was as described and the cabin provided ample space to just stretch out and relax. It will definitely be on my list of places to reserve again.
