Moose Haven is a terrific and centrally located property! It is the perfect place to recharge as it is quiet and calming. Listen to the Tonahutu River babble while reading, creating art, or enjoying a meal. Watch the sunset over Mount Baldy. Stroll along Grand Lake or peruse the eclectic shops along the town boardwalk.
In the summer, take a kayak, paddle boat or a pontoon boat cruise out on the lake or visit the local historical museum. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the cabin or walk into town and enjoy any of the great local restaurants. You can even kayak from our property to the fantastic Historic Rapids Lodge and enjoy a wonderful meal. After dinner, take in a show at our award-winning Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater. Get an ice cream cone at the Grand Lake Chocolates or Miyauchi's Snack Bar while watching the stars glisten on the lake.
Winter? Grand Lake is a WINTER WONDERLAND! Perfect for snow activities, snowboarding/downhill skiing is between 35 minutes at Granby Ranch for the novice to intermediate or for families on a budget and about 55 minutes to the famous and expansive Winter Park Ski Area. Go hiking, cross-country skiing, or snow shoeing on the numerous nearby trails of Rocky Mountain National Park. Grand Lake is considered one of the best snow mobile places in the country, with rentals nearby. The fantastic Grand Lake Golf Course has been touted as one of the prettiest and it doubles as a cross-country ski area for those who prefer groomed trails to making your own.

Lemmon Lodge has always been one of the most sought after magical places stay at when in Grand Lake because of its unique location to everything, yet still quiet and serene because it's setback on its own private inlet apart from the noise the town.
Our property manager, Tallie, stayed at Lemmon Lodge in 1986 and then in 1992, she moved from Connecticut to live in the Grand Lake area full-time, and has lived here for more than 20 years now. She is, currently, an elementary teacher and property manager. She knows the area inside and out, and is very excited to pass along her passion for Grand Lake! She is happy to help map out hiking trails, fishing holes, scenic roads, and where to best find wildlife or help you with reservations for massages, tickets for the award-winning Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater, white river rafting, fishing lessons, fly-fishing trips, golf, boat rentals, restaurants, horseback riding, hot air balloon trips, geo-caching, art classes, or anything else you should want to help you and your family create lasting memories.

Our family of five had a wonderful time at Moose Haven over Spring Break! The cabin was absolutely darling, with such great attention to detail, comfortable beds, and well appointed kitchen. The kids had a great time with all the board games that were available, and we enjoyed the quick walk to town. We will definitely visit again!
We had a wonderful time in Grand Lake. The cabin was so nice and cozy. Made me want to build one for myself and decorate it exactly how it was. Everything in the cabin wad so nicely decorated. Even every outlet had it's own special touch. The kitchen was great for cooking and stocked with everything you need. We saw a lot of foxes throughout the property and some came right up to the glass door. Beds were comfortable and soft. We enjoyed a ride through Rocky Mountain National Park, rented snowmobiles, and enjoyed the Lake being so close. Definitely a wonderful stay and plan on coming back again!
Cabin is in a great location with good views. Located right on a river and a cabin or two off the lake. Short walk to downtown / Main Street shops and restaurants.
Moose Haven is a cozy, charming mountain cabin located in the Lemmon Lodge enclave in Grand Lake. The cabin is located right where the creek runs into the lake, so we had beautiful water views everywhere as we wandered the spacious, private grounds shared by all the cabins. It's located right next to the Grand Lake Marina, and a short stroll to town. The cabin itself is newly renovated and has a quain,t cabin decor in every room. It's well stocked with everything you could possibly need, and clean as a whistle! I can't imagine a better location for a vacation in Grand Lake. We'll be back!
Nicely appointed cabin...much quieter after Sunday afternoon
Moose Haven is one of our favorite places! We love the location, which is right on the inlet, and on Grand Lake. It is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. It is within walking distance of town. Vacationing here is peaceful and relaxing.
