We had an amazing stay at the night heron cottage! The property has had some updates since the last time photos were taken including some new furniture, which was a nice surprise. The property was clean and so close to night heron park and the beach, which was great for easy access to the included amenities. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with the essentials, and the property was nice and quiet in the evenings. The host was very communicative prior to check in and very accommodating. Would definitely return.

Our Family really enjoyed the larger space and convenience to pool and beach. The bathrooms are however dated and could be cleaner. The hot water in the master shower was also spotty. Nice having covered parking to keep the vehicle clean from nature.

East Beach Kiawah

We had a great experience in kiawah. This villa is a great location to the park, pool and the market. A very short bike ride to the beach! Having the resort privileges is the big perk of renting this property. Only negative thing I would say is that it needs a lot of renovations and updates throughout the home. But it was clean, spacious and location was perfect!

Dirty and outdated

Wish we picked a different villa. We have been staying in Night Heron for over 20 years. This was by far the most disappointing villa we've stayed in. Lots of roaches. Very unclean. Broken chairs. Outdated everything. Do not make the mistake of looking under a sofa. I'm not one to post a negative review...ever. But I'd definitely choose another villa next time unless the owner decides to truly clean this place up. Went to another villa across the street and it was updated, clean and well maintained. Same price. Good luck.

We loved this property. Perfect location. Loved the screened porch on the back. Had a problem with the dishwasher but the took care of it immediately. Very attentive. Would definitely rent this place again. Lots of children riding bikes around the area. Very family friendly.

Great location

Property was clean and in a great location close to Night Heron pool and park and easy walk or bike ride to beach access. Had a great time. Only comment would be to provide contour sheets for the beds that fit. Also nonstick frying pans would be a nice addition to an otherwise well equipped kitchen. Would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect summer getaway

This cottage really set the beach vibe for us and we were stunned at the ambiance it provided for our week long trip to Kiawah. The owner was very quick to respond with any and all questions we might have had prior to our stay, and we didn't need to reach out to Cheryl at all during our stay because we had zero issues with it. It's a 2 minute bike to the beach and having the pool amenities is a MUST with little ones. Sure there may have been a stain or bug here and there, but guess what, ITS A BEACH COTTAGE! My family of 5 loved it as it was a perfect size for us. We especially loved the 3 season room at night where we could sit out and listen to the owls, whippoorwills, and all the other island life. You could even hear the waves is the tide was rough enough. Thank you for an amazing vacation, Cheryl!

Loved resorts access

My children loved going to the 2 pools with the water slides! Beds were comfortable. We loved going for bike rides on the trails. Longer walk than expected to beach with 2 children.. About 10- 15 min walk but easy to get to beach with bikes.

More than we expected!

We were not expecting all the resort amenities when we booked, as we had no idea how large the resort complex was. The house layout was perfect for our family, and the nieghborhood was very peaceful. The owners were more than accomidating when the resort failed to send the welcome packet on time. Would highly recommend this property to others.

Night Heron Cottage Fun!

We had the best stay on Kiawah Island!! What a treat to be so centrally located to the pool, the beach and The Sanctuary! We had a blast, fun for the whole family of all ages! We will cherish the memories made and hope to return!

Cleaning diligence questionable

The pictures of this property are much more generous than my experience. The rugs were stained, there were various broken pieces of something scattered on a table, one gutter had broken and was hanging off the porch, and the cabinets and dressers looked like they had been misused or were not maintained. Its appearance was like other low-maintenance rental-only properties. Overall, the property was acceptable, but I wouldn't highly recommend it to others.

Perfect Family Vacation Home

House was perfect, location is perfect. Close to pool, beach, park. I have stayed in different areas(spent a lot more money) I can honestly say that Night Herron Cottages is the only pace I'll stay again. The only complaint about this house is the lack of cooking utensils. No spatula, colander, tongs or oven mitts made cooking a little adventurous. I assume these get restocked at some point in the year.

Great place to stay on Kiawah

Fabulous location for families with children! Easy walk to Night Heron pool/activities and the beach. The bedroom layouts were perfect for us and the house was furnished tastefully. There was also a nice screened in back porch with 4 comfy chairs. Wish I had know that they had beach chairs and fold up lawn chairs so I would not have driven them down. Only thing that needed maintenance was the front windows, the turning mechanisms were cracked and did not work so we were not able to open the windows. Also the front porch was covered with leaves/cobwebs, maybe something the cleaning crew could touch up once a week. Overall a great stay and a great family vacation, we would stay there again.

House location is great, close to Night Heron Park and the beach.

The house is a great three bedroom 2-bath set-up in a centralized location on Kiawah. The furnishings are comfortable for a week stay. We would come back to this house again for sure.
