Welcome to Lymans Hale. This beautiful OCEANFRONT 4 bedroom + a studio with private kitchen, 4 bath, 3000 SF home can accommodate up to 17. Every bedroom has an ocean view. The lanai offers stunning views of Holualoa Bay, Lyman's Point, Keolonahihi State Park, miles of coastline, and the world famous Lyman's and Banyan's surfing areas. Watch surfers, whales, spinner dolphins, and inspiring Hawaii sunsets from the lanai, or from the private poolside patio.

Lymans Hale is two connected units, one upstairs and one downstairs, and has two fully equipped kitchens. All four bedrooms and the studio have air conditioning, and ceiling fans. The two master bedrooms have the king sized beds, and the another bedroom in upstairs has a queen size bed. The bedroom in downstairs has two twin size beds which can be put together as a king bed. There is also a queen sized bonus bed on the lanai. The studio has a twin over full bunk bed and a trundle for 5 people with it own kitchen. The house has high ceilings, large flat screen Smart TV, premium cable, high speed wireless Internet, and free long distance phone service to the US mainland and Canada. There is a two car garage, with automatic openers. The house has a private pool and a hot tub. You will enjoy the beautiful ocean view while you are in the hot tub or playing in the pool.

Kahaluu Beach Park, a fantastic place for snorkeling, is close by. White Sand Beach Park, the best sandy beach in Kona, is 500 meters away. Every Wednesday morning, you can see the cruise ship anchored in Kailua Bay, near downtown Kona, about two miles away. It's a perfect location, within minutes of shopping, beaches, beach parks, historic sites, resorts, and all that Kona has to offer.

Lymans Hale is close to the Keauhou Shopping center where you will find grocery, drug stores, movies, and dining. It is also close to downtown Kona, where even more shopping and dining is available. As a cruise ship destination, Kona offers every type of tour and activity, from surfing lessons, to horse back riding, and even helicopter tours of the volcanoes.

Lymans Hale is directly adjacent to Keolonahihi State Park. The 12-acre park, named after the high-ranking priestess Ke-olona-hihi, is mostly forested, but also contains ancient Hawaiian sites of heiaus, platforms and enclosures.

If you surf, this is the best location Kona has to offer. Lyman's is immediately in front of the lanai, and Banyan's, another world famous surfing area, is only 200 meters across the bay.

In October, the Ironman World Championship route passes directly in front of the house.

For party is over 8 people, there will be $30 per night per person charge.

Cancellation policy: You can cancel your reservation 90 days prior your arrival date with $500 cancellation fee, and get the rest of money back.

Check-In: TENANT agrees that rent commences no earlier than 4pm on the day and date indicated on part one. Early check-in may be permitted if the house is ready, and must be pre-arranged with LANDLORD. The additional fees for early check-in are $58 for 2pm check-in, $118 for 12 pm check-in, $224 for 10 am check-in.

Check-Out: TENANT agrees to vacate the premises no later than 11am on check out day. TENANT's security deposit shall be forfeited if you do not vacate the premises by 11am unless otherwise agreed to in writing. Late check-out may be permitted if there is no new tenant arriving the same day. Late check-out must be pre-arranged with LANDLORD. The additional fees for late check-out are $58 for 12pm check-out, $118 for 2pm check-out, $169 for 4:00 pm check-out, $224 for 6pm check-out, and $300 for 8:00 pm check-out.

About Emmy and Bob

Aloha and Welcome to Kona Vacation Rentals. This is Emmy and Bob. We are the owners of these lovely vacation rentals in Kona. We lived in Silicon Valley California for over 25 years and worked as software engineers and entrepreneurs. We built several successful start up companies and pursued our entrepreneur dreams there. We loved living in the California Bay Area and still consider it our "Home on the Mainland".

Emmy's lifelong dream has always been to live by the ocean. When we first truly memorable experience in Hawaii was the family vacation on the cruise ship that visited each of the Hawaiian islands. We fall in love with Kona, Big Island the best. There is so much to do here, with crystal clear water for snorkeling, rainforests, waterfalls, and volcanoes to explore, and mountains that almost reach the stars.

We bought our first dream house in 2013, and three years later, just after our daughter graduated from high school in California in 2016. Then we moved to Kona. Besides high tech, one of Emmy’s lifelong interests has been real estate. Every destination Emmy visit, she love exploring the properties in the area. Combining our love for Hawaii and homes, now we own and manage 8 beautiful vacation rental houses.

We have put much effort into every house to make them as comfortable and welcoming as your home. We use the latest technologies on the rental houses, with smart lock, amazon Alexa, comprehension customized online welcome book for each guest and much more.

From volcanoes to waterfalls, my family's favorite part of Kailua-Kona is the snorkeling that gives you a peek into the vast and amazing ocean life. Kona, the town itself also has a great, laid-back vibe and easy access to beaches, stores, farmer's market, and restaurants.

Not many properties are on Lyman's Bay the best surf spot in Hawaii Island! This place is the surfer's dream! Located at Keolonahihi on Kamoa Point (Lyman's point), one of Hawaii's most sacred and spiritual places, this home has spectacular ocean views from bedrooms and the lanai (patio). Magic Sands Beach, great for boogie boarding, swimming, and building sand castles, is just a 10 minute walk away. The two kitchens and large living rooms are perfect for big groups. Loved this houses!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. This was our first visit to Hawaii, and this house was a perfect choice for us. We have a big family and there was plenty of room and privacy for everyone. The second floor deck is incredible with great views of the bay and coastline. We spent hours and hours relaxing there while watching the waves and surfers, and even saw a whale with her baby. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and had several BBQs by the poolside. The deck around the pool is huge. Emmy, the owner, was really friendly and easy to communicate with. We loved this house and hope to come back again in a few years.

Beautiful view amazing house!

We fell in love with the house with its beautiful view and location. The entire family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. The house is very clean and with everything we needed and more, from beach towels, beach chairs, a lot of pool toys. The kids especially had a great time. They didn’t want to leave the house to go to out to explore the island, since they were having so much fun at the pool and playing in the house. Almost each day we eat dinner on the Lanai and enjoy the beautiful sunset.

For the adults, the house had great privacy and several outdoor sitting and eating areas. We cooked and barbecued a lot and the fully equipped kitchen had everything we needed. The house is very close to Magic sand beach. Older kids like to go there for boogie boarding. Also the 5 min drive to get to Kona restaurants, farmers market, made our stay very convenient.

Great location

Overall it was a very good week for our large group. The jacuzzi and pool and the views were great. A few minor issues, but thought we shouldn’t have had for the $’s we’re paying . . . Had a fully stuffed dryer still going when we arrived at 4:20pm, ran out of toilet paper on our 3rd day, also had to buy hand soap and dish washing liquid. The outdoor grill burners needs to be looked at, lots of hot spots and dead spots. Otherwise we had a great time. Thank you.

Great spot

This house was perfect for our family gathering. There is lots of space and possibilities for sleeping arrangements. The lanai is lovely. Two of our guests slept on the outdoor bed every night. The waterfront location is great; though none of us dared climb into the water right out front, we spent a lot of time exploring in the rocks. The park next door is difficult to traverse, but has a fascinating history. The house is located right on Ali’i drive. You can hear some traffic from the pool area when it’s busy, but it is competing with the sounds of the waves. When pulling out of the driveway, we always had a second person look out for traffic. The house is well equipped; we were only missing one thing, which the owners delivered within hours of our phone call. Wonderful!

Lymans Hale is about 2 miles from downtown Kona, where there are many restaurants, and shops, including big department stores. Kona is a cruise ship destination, with a large cruise ship arriving every Wednesday. You can arrange any kind of activity there, including surfing lessons, horse back riding, and even a helicopter tour of the volcanoes.
