Overview

About the property

Very private rooms with own entrance within walking distance to downtown.

Our property is located on a very quiet street in a safe neighborhood only a block below Washington Park where you will find the famous Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Oregon zoo, Children’s museum and Hoyt Arboretum. Not to mention, the park itself is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature and live concerts in the summer. It is a couple of blocks to NW 23rd Avenue and five blocks to the Max light rail Blue and Red line (this line takes you directly to the Portland International Airport). You can catch a game at nearby Providence Park stadium or take a short stroll to the trendy Pearl district or downtown Portland.

When you are done exploring all the nearby sights. You will relax in your private room with private bathroom. You have your own entrance through the garage that is street level. Please note there is NO kitchen but cafes, bakeries, restaurants, delis and grocery stores are only a short walk from here. There is a mini refrigerator and freezer to store all the goodies you purchase. A microwave is available in your living room as well as a coffee maker, plates, cups and silverware.

In your bedroom, there is a queen sized bed, a coffee table and chairs. In your living room, you will find a comfortable futon where you can enjoy reading or lounging. There is also a TV and free WiFi high-speed internet.

Children are welcome but, please contact us if the total number of people is more than two so we can ensure your stay is comfortable. We also have a playpen for infants.

Do not hesitate to ask about anything that we have not mentioned above.

We would love to help make your visit to Portland a memorable one.

Why ARDMORE chose Portland

We only wanted buy a house within two blocks of where we are.

Because, it's located on a very quiet street in a safe and the most desirable neighborhood in Portland.

You can walk to evrywhere even downtown Portland is less than a mile walk and Washington Park is like our back yard. NW 23rd Avenue is also only 2 blocks away.

There are so many excellent restaurants, cafes, bakeries, delis and too many good things to mention around here.

We did not have a car and we did not need it because everything was walkable.

Great location! Very clean!

  • 5 of 5

This little apartment is very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Just blocks from Burnside Avenue and the Pearl District! We walked downtown all day and we were happy we got to come home to such a safe, comfortable apartment. The neighborhood is very historical and is right next to Washington Park (1 block away). Great place for those who want to be able to walk to restaurants, shops, etc. We had a wonderful time!

Spacious basement suite near Northwest District and the Park

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our trip to Portland and our stay in the House on Ardmore. The space is a little bit odd though. It is a basement suite and the entry is through the garage, but the it is private and fairly spacious for a basement. The room was big and even had a little sitting area, and there was coffee and tea and a kettle provided. Wifi was a bit questionable at times

It is about a twenty-thirty minute walk to most of the places we wanted to go to downtown which wasn't too bad. The walk back home though was basically all uphill so you may want to call an Uber or Lyft instead.

The street is very quiet and a parking pass was required if you drove, but those were included and very easy to use.

Although this wasn't the best neighbourhood for proximity to things, it was a good value because apparently during the summer in Portland, prices are through the roof! I would probably stay here again if I were trying to save a few bucks while still being relatively close to all the action.

Nice location

  • 4 of 5

Great location. Walked to Washington Park. Beautiful property. If you are looking for a place to cook, this is not it. It has a microwave to heat something up and a fridge, but no place to do cleaning of pans or cooking appliances. Go to Thai Bloom for lunch and happy hour (get the spicy chicken wings).

Beautiful cozy spot

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in a great neighborhood at Miyoko Abufadils house in Portland. She is a gracious host and she provided all we needed for a comfortable stay. I dont leave glowing reviews being a cynic so take that into consideration when looking at this place. It's comfy!

Beautiful Neighborhood - Clean, Quiet Room

  • 5 of 5

This is a super clean, cozy place to stay in a super safe neighborhood with lots of options for walking and dining. I stayed here on business and every day was smooth sailing. I brought my bike and took advantage of Portland's bike-friendly streets to commute to work downtown. Plenty of brew pubs in the neighborhood, too. Will stay again...thank you!
