About the property

4Br/ 3Ba Sunny Mountain Views, Private Hot Tub, Well Maintained, 2 Living Areas

Check in time is 4 pm.

Check out time is 10 am.

Moose Meadow is a peaceful, well maintained home that sleeps 13 and features fabulous mountain views and occasional sightings of the neighborhood moose, fox, or deer. Hike or bike at Hoosier Pass, climb the 14'er Quandary Peak or other trails nearby, fish at Alma Pond just over the pass, or head into town for skiing or mountain biking at Breckenridge Resort or bike along the path from Breckenridge to Dillon and beyond. This location is close enough to town to enjoy all that Breckenridge and Summit County has to offer, but also provides the solitude of a cabin in the woods.

There are 2 comfortable living areas with TVs, 3 decks, a fully equipped, updated kitchen with granite counter tops and gas stove, and a single car garage plus parking for 2-3 vehicles. The main level bedroom has a queen TempurPedic log bed with access to a private hot tub on the back deck for looking at trees and stars. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms with vaulted ceilings (queen with deck and bunk bed room - twin/twin and twin/full) and a full bath. The separate living area/bedroom on the lower level has a king TempurPedic bed and queen sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress on solid backing (no bar!), full bath, and gas fireplace. Relax on the sunny front deck with the swinging bench and natural gas grill while taking in panoramic views of mountains and Hoosier Pass. Laundry facilities are in the garage, accessible from the lower level.

The driveway is shared, so please be sure to park without blocking the neighbor's access.

Breckenridge Resort - a great vacationing experience for every season! Far from the stress of the big city life is the 136 year old town of Breckenridge. The lure of gold and riches brought the first settlers to this high mountain valley. Founded in 1859 as a mining camp along the banks of the Blue River, Breckenridge has experienced a colorful history of boom and bust. Mining ended in the 1940's. Skiing in Breckenridge started in the 1960's. Breckenridge Ski Resort is now known as a world-class ski resort. 'The Genuine Colorado', and 'A Real Colorado Town with Unreal Rocky Mountain Skiing' are phrases you may hear from a local when asked to describe Breckenridge. Breckenridge's history as a mining town is still alive in the charming Victorian town. Strict building codes have preserved many of the old Victorian era buildings of the 'Old West'. Today Breckenridge is a year-round resort destination with Summer and Winter activities to please everyone. Breckenridge is known for an abundance of incomparable shopping, dining, nightlife, over 400 boutiques, galleries, bistros, restaurants, and more variety that is sure to please every taste and budget.

Ski town dream home. Dynamite Breckenridge golf course location. Only minutes to the slopes and town. Our custom cabin backs up to the forest offering the solitude and peace you want from a mountain vacation home. A large deck lets you enjoy morning and afternoon tranquility and a wonderful private hot tub.

About Beth Furnish

We are committed to making sure your stay is enjoyable. We have tried our best to anticipate all of your needs, but work hard to make things right quickly once we are notified of an issue. We bought this cabin when we lived in Colorado, but have since moved to Oklahoma. We still come back to take in the Rockies whenever we can, but decided to offer this cabin as a vacation rental so others can enjoy it during those times that we can't.

Beth Furnish purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Beth Furnish chose South Breckenridge

We purchased this cabin to have nice access to the ski resorts while still experiencing the solitude of the woods. We love wandering down to the pond that is visible from the deck or going for a walk in the neighborhood - even getting to watch the neighborhood moose or foxes on occasion. It's also very close to so many great options for hikes, skiing, and fishing. We hope you and your family have a pleasant and memorable stay.

What makes this cabin unique

We love the views from the front sunny deck and have enjoyed watching several bike races along Hoosier Pass right from the deck. The back deck off the main bedroom is the perfect place to enjoy star gazing while relaxing in the hot tub.

"VERY NICE CABIN" with a gorgeous view of mountains .

  • 5 of 5

Dec 18-25, 2016, I was very pleased with cabin, exactly as described on site, equipped with everything needed, close to road, gorgeous view of mountains with lots of snow in Dec. Owners had cabin warm to our WELCOME , and cabin was very NICE and CLEAN. Owners were fast to reply to any questions. Cabin was approx 10 minutes from Breckenridge. ME AND MY FAMILY WAS VERY PLEASED AND SATISFIED AT OUR WEEK VACATION AT THIS CABIN! GOD BLESS THE OWNERS !!!.

ME AND MY FAMILY WOULD GIVE A 5+ STAR TO THIS CABIN AND OWNERS OF PROPERTY.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Quiet, spacious & cozy

  • 4 of 5

We and our friends really enjoyed this space - the open kitchen/dining room area allowed for everyone to participate in games and easily get up for snacks/drinks, etc. The living room combined with the kitchen table provided enough seating for everyone.

The views were GORGEOUS! There were so many decks to get different vantage points. The drive into town to the ski lifts wasn't bad - about 20 minutes or so. The kitchen had all of the supplies we needed.

The only thing we found a little awkward was that the only access to the hot tub is through one of the bedrooms, so the couple that chose that bedroom had to be fine with people walking through their space.

There are also a LOT of stairs in this condo, so it may not be ideal for anyone with a physical impairment.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay and we were all able to shovel our cars out after 7 inches of snow fell overnight! :)

Great Mountain House

  • 5 of 5

Booked the house for a weekend getaway with a group of friends. We had 10 people stay and had plenty of room. The tempurpedic beds are a really nice touch. The views from the front room and deck are fantastic. Watching the cars come over the pass in complete darkness was really something. Anyone who is planning on skiing at Breck or keystone should definitely look into this place. Great place for dogs. Overall I was very happy with the place. Beth's response time was very quick on any questions I sent her and she was very understanding.

High altitude gem!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for my Mom's birthday weekend with our 4 dogs, and had a blast. We had people ranging in age from 5-75 and everyone had fun! The cabin was easy to get to and had great views of the mountains- too bad they weren't more snow-capped- it's been a dry fall here in CO! The cabin was well-appointed, with Tempurpedic beds, a Nest thermostat, granite countertops, leather couches, and a great hot tub. The hot tub felt wonderful on a cold night, and you don't often see that many stars- and the Milky Way galaxy! We took a nice hike at the top of Hoosier Pass, which is just a few minutes away, and there we encountered more stellar views of the surrounding 14ers. There was plenty of room for our large group, and we were able to prepare meals easily. We did see one fox, but no other wildlife on this trip, but that's ok, we see plenty at home!

We would absolutely return to this cabin. The price was right, and we loved that it was dog friendly! It is perfectly placed for all seasons- close to skiing in the winter, close to hikes in the summer, and close to lots of aspens in the fall! And the altitude is a great boost to your hemoglobin!

Wow!! From the moment we got out of the car we were in love!! Layout of cabin was awesome!!

  • 5 of 5

Am a very happy camper!! Loved the in & out of cabin feel had the feeling of being alone with nature. Stars were bright & plenty. Hot tub was great. Heck, everything was great. The only complaint I heard was not enough cable channels but we weren't there for TV! . We spent lots of time outdoors &. Had great weather for this time of year.

I wish we were back there right now. A MUST on any vacation plan!! Any time of year it would be well worth the trip.

Adorable Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay with 1 other couple at this cabin. Everything was immaculate and the location was perfect for a getaway weekend. Just 10 minutes outside of Breckenridge, you could easily run into town for dinner or coffee in the morning while also being far enough away from the hustle and bustle to still feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. I definitely recommend it!
