Romantic get away

  • 5 of 5

I booked this vacation home to surprise my husband for our anniversary. We loved our stay here and did not want to leave. The home was very clean and exceeded our expectations. We hiked at Grayson Highlands State park and enjoyed the hot tub in evening. We enjoyed our coffee on the deck while listening to the river. We will definitely stay here again.

Amazing Romantic Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I splurged a bit and rented this cabin for our birthdays. Boy am I glad we did! It was a bit over what we wanted to spend for a long weekend away once cleaning fees and insurance and everything was added in, but I am so happy that we went for it. The cabin was very nice! I really liked the decorations and it was perfect for just the two of us. We stayed in the whole time and cooked all meals in which we had everything we needed to do so. I enjoyed the grill on the back porch. There are no basics such as seasonings or paper products provided- FYI so next time we will bring our own dish soap, paper towels, etc... That was not a major issue as there was a super small amount left there before we made do. There was a minor issue with the power during our stay, but one we called he was very quick to send the maintenance guy who quickly fixed it. The only other minor issue was under the bed was very dusty, but that certainly won't keep us from returning! Our favorite part was being right on the creek. We love the sound of it. The hot tub on the back porch that overlooks the creek was my own personal slice of heaven! We also really liked sitting by the fire pit. Lansing was a beautiful town and we certainly plan on returning as soon as we are able! It was amazing and we will certainly be back! Already planing a return for our anniversary later this year. I only wish the rate was more reflective of what the true price is. Upon looking at the rate it was right in our budget, so it was a little disappointing to see the rate almost double once all final fees were added in. The only other recommendation I would say would be provide dish soap and maybe simple basic seasonings along with paper towels, but other than that everything was spot on and we can't wait to return! Thanks for sharing you beautiful cabin with us.

Great get away

I really enjoyed the time spent in the little cabin. The cabin has a wonderful wooden interior and the small community around it is just as nice.
