"Details Details Details" An Amazing find

  • 5 of 5

We arrived late in the evening and couldn't see the tropical paradise that we would awaken to each morning for the next 12 days. Beautiful plants and fruit trees and an impossibly green lawn with a unique wavy mowing pattern. Tropical birds of every color, squadrons parrots doing fly by's and a nearby rooster sounding reveille. Note: If those sounds bother you early in the morning you will find packages of ear plugs in your night stand.

Because it was so late, we didn't stop in town for any provisions. It didn't matter because Lisa and Martha had us covered until we could get to Costco the next day (15 minutes down the hill).

There was fresh ground coffee, savory snacks, fresh papaya, bottled water and even a couple bottles of Kona Brewing's finest staged in the refrigerator. On the counter was a huge basket of goodies that we enjoyed throughout our stay.

As all of the previous reviews have unanimously stated, every minute detail was thought of to make our stay comfortable. There was even a White Noise box plugged in on the nightstand for those who have trouble falling asleep. The apartment was immaculate. We have stayed in 5 star hotels that would be hard pressed to match them for their cleanliness.

We enjoyed talking with both Martha and Lisa, they are interesting and very knowledgeable about the Big Island. We like going off road with our rental Jeeps and they gave us some places to go that we had not been on any of our previous trips. The apartments location just off the high road is a great staging point for travel anywhere on the island. We put 897 miles on the Jeep this trip.

Martha and Lisa, thanks again for everything. We enjoyed our our vacation to the Big Island this year more than you will know. We are looking forward to next year. Mahalo, Burt and Connie

Wonderful, friendly, helpful hosts!

  • 5 of 5

Lisa and Martha are amazing! I love that their place is air conditioned, but they also made it feel like home. We arrived to fresh papaya in the fridge, snacks, coffee... So wonderful since we flew in late in the evening. They also made great snorkeling and food recommendations and were just fun and pleasant to chat with. 100% would recommend if you're staying on the Kona side of Big Island!

Wonderful place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

Lisa and Martha were great hosts. The guest quarters were wonderful. They thought of everything....from snacks to tide us over until we got to store to earplugs by the bedside (lol). Their garden was beautiful and so peaceful. We wished we would have had more time in Kona!

As always, property is gorgeous! Accommodations are great!

  • 5 of 5

Martha and Lisa's is by far our favorite place to stay in Kona. These ladies are the best! Friendly and welcoming. Always friendly and helpful if you need anything. You can sit inside on the sofa or put in the yard and with the gorgeous and famous sunsets. The back yard is a beautiful botanical garden! About 5 to 10 minutes from town and the beach.. Kua Bay is our favorite beach and it is super close. Mahalo once again Martha and Lisa! We will see you next time!! ❤️❤️❤️

The property is absolutely beautiful. I loved the unit that I stayed in. The owner, Lisa, was super friendly and intellectual. I am definitely coming back in the future when I happen to be on the island again.
