El complejo de casas adosadas "The Northshore" se encuentra en la costa norte del hermoso lago Tahoe, a dos millas al este de la ciudad de Tahoe. Se compone de 52 casas adosadas, situadas en 25 acres de pinos y abetos boscosos, junto con vegetación original de montaña. Las comodidades incluyen aproximadamente 400 pies de playa privada, un muelle de 192 pies, piscina, canchas de tenis y bochas.

Durante la temporada de esquí, estás a solo 15 minutos de Squaw Valley y Alpine Meadows, dos de las principales áreas de esquí de Tahoe. Un boleto de ascensor único proporciona acceso a ambos resorts, y el Squaw / Alpine Express ofrece transporte entre montañas cada 20-30 minutos.

Great location

the condo was a great location! Tahoe city is the perfect place to stay. the kitchen was also fully stocked with all kitchen needs which was great for a group trip. the house overall was totally fine, but there were a few things that weren't kept up to date - the nails on the main patio were sticking up a bit as well as somewhat big slots between the wood planks. the screen door leading to the main patio was also ripped and not staying on the track.

The owners have been actively working on having the decking replaced and it is currently scheduled for this coming Fall.  In the meantime, they have installed a heavy duty outdoor rug as a temporary fix. Property lovely, Manager AWFUL

This property was clean and conveniently located. The only problem I have with recommending it is the property manager and namely the "top of the food chain" supervisor, Amber. Unfortunately there was an error in the description that left us one bed short. After recognizing and agreeing with the error the property manager refused to move us to a more suitable place despite many places being available, my offer to pay the cleaning fee, start the laundry process and pay any difference in price. Instead Amber would only agree to put in an inflatable mattress that was "shoe horned in". This inflatable mattress removed a major form of egress for my children in the event of an emergency. I brought this to her attention and she still refused. Ultimately I could not keep my children in an unsafe place so two of them ended up staying with friends. Our "family vacation" was a half family every night. The owners should have a conversation with the property manager since they have a lovely residence.

We are sincerely sorry that we were unable to meet your expectations despite our best efforts. To provide some context for future guests, the bed configuration was accurately outlined, with icons of each bed and a lengthy description, and fully accommodated the advertised sleeping capacity of the home. At the time this guest booked the property, a reference to a twin sofa sleeper, previously at the home, remained (we have since removed this reference). When the guest reached out to us and expressed the need for a convertible bed, we provided an aerobed for her, in the same size as the sofa sleeper in question. While this would have been an adequate solution for most reasonable guests, unfortunately in this case it was not.

The Northshore

Good communication with property manager. Nicely furnished and supplied unit. The pool and private beach with beach attendants (set up chairs and umbrellas for you) are top notch and make it so easy to enjoy the beach without lugging chairs and umbrellas. We’ll be back.

Wonderful Stay

What a wonderful Labor Day weekend! A very cozy and comfortable condo for our family of 6! There is a nice spacious kitchen for preparing family dinners and we enjoyed all of our meals out on the deck. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean, updated and comfortable. The condo is decorated with lots of fun Tahoe decor! It is in a great location and easy to get to everything. I highly recommend staying here!

Know that this property is a long ways from the lake and it can only be seen thru a sliver of trees from the upper deck. There are private and public beaches that take some getting to but they aren't bad if you don't mind the walk. Also be very aware that it takes 5 landings of stairs to get anywhere. One to get into the property ,2 to get to the lower level and 2 to reach the top. There are no bathrooms on the middle level so be prepared. When we arrived there was some ...something (vomit?) all over the screen door leading to a very poorly maintained deck . We couldn't let the little ones outside because of the lethal looking screws poking up all over.Not that you could enjoy the deck as there was no umbrella to shield the direct afternoon sun. We were told there should be one in the storage room , keys in the box, wrong, they didn't work. So after hosting our family for the weekend we wanted to vacuum and tidy up a bit, but ..alas.. the vacuum was a busted up wreck with the bag falling out. Be very careful going down to the lower bedrooms and laundry. It is dark as pitch and you can't see the appliance dials without a flashlight. The worst part was my son broke his toe running into a CINDER BLOCK that was holding up the bed.I have pictures to corroborate all of this. All that to say the office crew did everything they could to make things right (tightened screws, got us an umbrella, washed the screen, brought us a broom etc..)and since we're a pretty easy bunch we had a great time anyhow.

We appreciated the opportunity to have helped turn things around for your group and were happy to refund your cleaning fee due to the condition you arrived to. I am glad to have been able to help your group settle in by sending someone over immediately to clean any missed items, provide you a new vacuum and umbrella, as well as secure any loosened screws on the deck. I do want to assure future renters that we are doing all we can to mitigate future feedback of this nature and have since added a heavy duty outdoor rug as a temporary fix and will be installing a new trex deck this fall.

Surprise!

This property is far away from the lake with a tiny sliver of a view between the trees. Be aware there are 4 landings to climb and no bathroom on the center one. When we arrived , there was something unpleasant stuck on the patio screen and screws a half inch high poking thru the beat up deck ...Which we couldn't use in the afternoon as there was no umbrella for the patio table. They told us there was a key to a storage closet where one might be found but ,nope! the keys didn't work.We tried to keep things tidy, but Alas! The vacuum cleaner was taped together and no longer worked. I also have some lovely pictures of the blood(or worse) on the mattress cover and sheets which I sent to the office. The downstairs is so dimly lit you will need a good size flashlight to do the laundry. And beware of the bed with the single in it as my son broke his toe on the cinderblock holding it up.I can share those pics as well. The office itself was very accommodating and did all they could to make us happy and comfortable. And our family visited in shifts and that made for a special time in spite of it all.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was well appointed, and comfortable. It was accurately described, clean and well maintained. The location was quiet and relaxing, with great proximity to Tahoe City and the west shore. We took several hikes, and had great dining at both Jake's and Sunnyside. Be aware there are no window coverings in the upstairs master, so while there is privacy, you will be up at the crack of dawn. Downstairs bedrooms provide a darker atmosphere if you like to sleep late! The private beach and dock are very nice. It is important to know that there are no bath room facilities at the beach, and none we could see at the pool. It is an uphill walk equal to at least 2 blocks back to the condo to use the bathroom. The condo association needs to remedy this to make it a destination I'd return to, if I was going to use the beach or pool.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about your stay. To clarify, there are two recently remodeled bathrooms located at the swimming pool. While, the beach does not have any bathroom facilities, the walk from the beach to to the poolside bathrooms would be about half the distance from the condo.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: it was okay. Although it was much further to the beach site than I initially thought. Also the picture taken here must either be professionally done or must have been taken on a very sunny day. The property is not as lit even during a sunny day due to surrounding trees. Inside Downstairs was too dark with one dim light and upstairs was too hot. Even fan wouldn't help.

I have stayed at other units at The Northshore and this is by far one of the best appointed rentals on the upper property. As referenced in my title, this is our 3rd time renting here and I look forward to next summer! It feels homey and well loved by the owners and I enjoy the family photos that adorn the staircase and the woodsy decor. The rental company is terrific, we had a power outage from a beautiful electrical storm which tripped the smoke detector. We phoned the company in the morning and it was fixed immediately! Will definitely be back.

Overall Terrible experience

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived late to the house due to bad traffic conditions. We found that there were not as many beds as it was indicated on the website. A few of our friends had to sleep on the floor as a result. The next morning, we found that the toaster was not working. And as we loaded the dish washer, it had flooded the kitchen floor. We had to clean up because we had one more night there. We were asked to do quite a lot before we leave the house (clearing the trash, stripping the bed, loading and starting dish washer cycle, and loading and starting the laundry for towels used) but in return, the management did not check if the equipment is ready for the usage. I am very disappointed about the situation. Although, it Tahoe Getaway had listed the correct number of bed spaces and checked that the amenities are functioning properly, both of which I consider to be very basic hospitality requirements, we would have had a good stay. Other furnitures are in moderate/good conditions.

We have verified that all of our listing information is current and accurately reflects the bed configuration at this home, so future renters can rest assured. We do test all appliances prior to every arrival, and have confirmed that the dishwasher is working well and no leaks are present. We do provide a list of items that are of huge help to our housekeeping team when completed prior to check-out. Most guests are happy to oblige, but if time runs out, we are happy to take care of the entirety of the check-out process for you.

Nice Relaxed Condo in Quiet Great Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed with our 2 teenagers for first week of August, for the second summer in a row. The layout, with MBR/bath upstairs and 2 BR's downstairs worked very well. Nice quiet location, and access to private beach and pool are great to have. Quiet neighbors, easy access to N shore beauty and great hikes. Carpet shows some wear/spots compared to last year and the unit did not seem as clean as the first year we rented. We would come back. A chipmunk helped himself to our walnuts--when we reported him, the rental company was very responsive.

North Shore Lake Side Condo - excellent location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were up for our son's wedding and needed a location in the Lake Forest area. This condo was right next to the wedding site. We enjoyed our stay and the great location, beach and pool. The condo was well equipped and nice upgrades. The downstairs bedroom were a little to dark. We had an issue with the heat as the downstairs bedrooms were too cold and the upstairs to hot. Over than the heat issue we were very pleased with the accommodations.

Lake Tahoe Stay-2015

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice condo. Happy overall. Fairly minor issues: dead bugs on floor throughout the apartment; downstairs bedrooms were dusty; need to warn renters that they may very well need an all-wheel drive vehicle to make it up a steep hill if the roads are icy; we couldn't drive to the ski resort one day because our car got stuck, so we had to call a taxi.

Lovely week in cute condo in great location

Reviewer Comments: My husband and I were very happy with the décor, layout, features, condo association pool and beach, location and overall experience at the condo. We would stay here again and hope our schedules allow us to stay for one week instead of two. We were concerned about renting a condo instead of a stand alone cottage, but were very pleased with how quiet the property was and the extra features that being in a condominium complex provided. This place was a home run!
