Located right in the heart of North Lake Tahoe, this Carnelian Bay vacation condo offers community amenities like a shared pool, hot tub, and tennis courts, as well as an interior with an outdoor deck. It's the perfect Tahoe retreat!

With a location just a couple of blocks from the shore of Lake Tahoe, you can easily spend time at the beach relaxing or boating out on the water! And in winter, you're only 10 miles from Northstar Resort for some of the region's best skiing.

Featuring three charming levels, the apartment features tall, slanted ceilings, a wood stove, comfortable furniture, and entertainment options including a TV and DVD player. You can fix a meal in the full kitchen or make the short walk to the Old Post Office Coffee Shop for a hearty start to your day.

At night, you'll have four bedrooms. Both adults and kids will be pleased here. There's also a washer and dryer for keeping clothes clean.

North Lake Tahoe is a year-round destination for vacationers of all ages. This Carnelian Bay vacation condo is a great home base for a family ski trip, a hiking and biking excursion, or anytime you need a laid-back and welcoming space for a group.

This condo is so cozy, and the area around it is absolutely gorgeous in the snow. Great amenities and well-stocked. There are 4 bedrooms plus a loft, so it's comfortable for a large group of friends or a family.

The location and community were ideal! It was great to be able to walk to the lake and use the neighborhood amenities. The beds were quite firm and could use some cushion but everything else was great!

Family vacation

This Condo has been well loved and provided a great location for our extended family to join together for a vacation. Carnelian Woods is a wonderful property with great amenities. We really enjoyed our time here.

Very disappointing stay. The property did not match the listing — there was no hot water for showers, the house was not clean, and the furnace was extremely noisy, making the stay uncomfortable.These were basic living issues, not minor inconveniences, and we had to leave early and arrange alternative accommodation. We requested a reasonable refund for the unused portion, but it was denied.Unfortunately, this was the worst stay we have experienced. We recommend future guests review past feedback carefully before booking and consider other options.

There was trash in the apartment on the floor. There was no access to the ski locker for storage. The listing was inaccurate, there was no pullout couch that sleeps 2. It is a very big problem when a property listing says it sleep 10 with a pullout couch and it is missing. We would like the cleaning fee back because of the lack of sleeping beds and cleanliness.

Great place for big group.

Location is great, just 3 min drive to the beach. Recreational center (lodge) is really well kept with many fun games. Pool & tennis courts look beautiful; we just didn’t have time to enjoy it. The unit is spacious for big groups up to 8. 10 will be too crowded especially with only 2 bathrooms.

• Both toilets kept running water in the tank after every flush. We had to take off the tank lid and adjust the stopper for the water EVERY time.• Support from Vacasa was poor• Instructions for the clubhouse and pool were not accurate. They said the office in the clubhouse was open from 1pm to 9pm on weekends, but when we went there around 7:30-8pm no one was there! We were not able to get a keycard for the hot tub during our stay.• Text support was not helpful and kept copy/pasting the same message to me about the clubhouse being open from 1pm to 9pm, even though I was literally telling them I was there during those hours and no one was able to help me. Eventually the text support stopped responding to me• The beds were very firm, not very comfortable for side sleepers.• The hot water ran out quickly in the showers.• There was only one sharp knife for cutting food in the kitchen, and it's not that big.

Great condo for a week trip!

This is a wonderful weekend getaway only issues I have for the really loud heater and the really hard beds you might want to invest in some mattress toppers but overall it was a good time thank you

Great location. Lacks polish

We stay here almost every summer because it is walking distance to the beach and it has a great pool and hot tub. Also it fits all ten of us at a good price. We have learned to live with its imperfections such as a poorly equipped kitchen, doors that squeak or jamb, window coverings that don’t fit, a drippy tub and a loose towel rack

Great location but doing (and needing) some renovations

It seemed liked they are doing some renovations that need to be done. The downstairs bathroom had a cracked lighting fixture, the upstairs shower door was very had to open, the dryer didn’t work, and the heater was very loud. However, the location was perfect, it keep us warm at night, and we had a great time.

The condo had a huge crack in the wall. Hot tub, pool and Lodge have been closed for a month with no plans to reopen due to damage. We were not notified before arrival. When we complained he's $60 credit was offered to make up for missing amenities. Loft mattresses were saggy and Loft lighting was damaged. Layout was great and kitchen was well stocked. No wood was left for wood burning stove.

Decent option for large groups

My family (4) traveled to Tahoe with my sister’s family (5) and needed a large enough house to accommodate us all during the holidays. Unfortunately we booked last minute and most places were either not available or way outside our price range. We found this place and it did the job. It was a good location and was easy enough to get to the mountains and also enjoy the area (food, grocery store, and shopping all close by). There’s also a clubhouse which has two hot tubs. The house itself was a little bit older. Beds were pretty hard, shower doors were hard to open and close, staircases are not as kid friendly if you have little ones, some of the carpets were stained and the countertop was peeling. It did what we needed to do which was house our large group, allow us to make a few meals at home, and enjoy Tahoe! I would also say the heater worked great, our group didn’t run out of hot water, there were plenty of dishes and we loved the use of laundry.

Easy location. Great layout.

check in was after 4pm on a Friday. No one around to get a parking pass or any sort of run down on how to access hot tub. No one around for the weekend so no after ski hot tub relaxation possible. If we would have known no host tub access we would have booked someplace else. The place is kind of beat up. The table and every chair wobbles like crazy. Seriously. Can almost get seasick trying to eat a meal as the table sways around with any bump of an elbow. One of the shower doors was incredibly hard to move, making it near impossible to not make a mess of water on floor getting in/out and you can tell there's been much water left on the floor with baseboards showing water ingress. Overall the layout was GREAT for our group of 8. The living space is very nice, comfort wise. Just don't expect too much in ways of beauty.

Carnelian bay condo

We checked in and got settled, the couches on the main level needed to be thrown out, they are worn beyond belief. When we tried to watch tv we found that they didn’t have cable so the tv advertised in the amenities is false advertising . They should just remove the TVs and sell them to buy new couches. There were dirty pots and pans in the kitchen. I am very disappointed and feel we paid premium money for a substandard rental.
