Overview

About the property

2 Bedroom 1 bath house on working vineyard

The Guest House at Sapphire Canyon Vineyard was taken down to studs and completely renovated in 2014. Located on a working vineyard, this modern 2BR, 1BA house comfortably sleeps four. The two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the second with a queen bed, have ultra-comfy premium mattresses with down comforters and cozy robes. The living room is spacious for lounging around after a long day of wine tasting, bicycle riding or shopping. We love to cook and have stocked the kitchen accordingly. Also, there is an outdoor grill and dining area to enjoy.

For exercise, hike the many trails on the 55+ acre property or walk the quiet street across from the property for a more leisurely activity. For the adventuresome, the property is on Santa Rosa Bicycle Club’s Dry Creek, Alexander Valley bicycle ride noted as one of the Three Great Cycle Rides in Sonoma County by Suzie Rodriguez.

You are across the street from one of Dry Creek's oldest wineries and minutes away from Geyserville with four gourmet restaurants – Catelli’s (featured on Diner’s, Drive-Inns and Dives), Diavola, Rustic at Francis Ford Coppola Winery and Geyserville Grille. It's less than 10 minutes to the Healdsburg plaza and is on the border of Dry Creek and Alexander Valley AVA’s with their many award-winning wineries. Lake Sonoma and the iconic Dry Creek General Store (featured on Man Fire Food) are 5 minutes away.

Stay with us for a week and receive a 10% discount off the nightly rate.

Immaculate and Nicely Remodeled

  • 5 of 5

Conveniently located and spacious property, set back from the road. Appears to be recently remodeled to a high standard. Unlike some properties, this rental included all the necessary kitchen supplies and cooking equipment (although we didn't cook). Bedding was very comfortable. The living room couch was particularly comfortable, but other living room seating less so. Overall, an excellent choice for the area.

Cute little get away

  • 5 of 5

The house is just right . Fully equipped, super clean great beds.house is laid out very well so 2 couple can easily stay .the bathroom has AVEDA products which are luscious. The pool is super and there is a pool house with shower and water closet facillites.laurie ( the owner) is so responsive to questions . I felt very safe there( stayed one night by myself) the neighbors were friendly and i loved the fact they had a dog , not a barker , but a watch dog for sure, he knows what goes on in the canyon . Cool to be on a working vineyard.all workers waved while driving or walking by

Found very good Thai 101 in cloverdale take out for dinner , and a new winery TRATTORE yum . CAST winery for sparkling wine .

Great value , i hope to go back

Owner's Response: Thank you for the kind review. Since we stay in the Guest House occasionally, we see the property through our renters' eyes and make tweaks to make the experience more enjoyable (our recent purchase was the "Operation" game for kids). We are fortunate to have a good vineyard manager and neighbors that are friendly but not intrusive.

Amazing place in wine country!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home on a working vineyard, close to Geyserville and tons of wineries. Walking distance to a couple of them, which is great. Very modern and clean, great furniture and fixtures, and a well-stocked kitchen. Laurie and Pam made the whole thing very easy. I would definitely come back.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review and the comments on the property. Pam and I strive to make things as painless as possible. The location of the property tucked between Dry Creek and Alexander Valley Appellations was what drew us to the purchase our little slice of heaven.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments and the kind words. I try my best to make the process simple and efficient. Modern technology helps by quick delivery of paperwork, eliminating keys, and helping to navigate guests to the property. If technology could only get my husband to pick up his dishes.

Beautiful, Relaxing Place

  • 5 of 5

Everything was amazing at the Sapphire Canyon guest house. It was the perfect amount of space for 4 of us. We were in town for a half ironman, and knowing that, the host kept us updated with well wishes and weather forecasts leading up to the trip. The check in and check out processes were flawless, the kitchen was amazing and well-equipped for cooking in, the beds were extremely comfortable, and nothing beats the beautiful location and well-maintained property. I would give this 5,000 stars if possible and my fellow guests all agree!

Owner's Response: Wow, 5,000 stars - thank you so much. We have taken great care to create a place where people can visit and leave with found memories. If requested, we provide what information we can, whether it be wineries, restaurants or activities, to help people enjoy the area as it can be intimidating. We are glad you had such a great visit and, hopefully, we will see you in the future.

Small piece of heaven

Arrived Friday afternoon from London, via San Francisco.

Visit to spend time with youngest son living in California.

Fabulous setting, immaculate guest house, everything you could need for weekend away from it all. Thrilled to find this gem on-line.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your response. We are happy you were able to relax after your long trip in our Guest House and spend time with your son. We just hope the language barrier wasn't a problem. It is nice to know we now have an international following. Cheers!
