About Edrene Case

My sister's and I were born in Healdsburg and learned to swim in the Russian River. Even after we moved away we made many trips to this area with our friends and family to enjoy the river. We rented many vacations homes along the Russian River from Guerneville to Healdsburg and this is our favorite spot. Our kids have fond memories of spending warm summer days on the beach behind this house looking for frogs, swimming, canoeing and rafting down the river. They named the beach 'Froggy Beach'. We always dreamed of owning our own place and now have this really great cottage on the river to enjoy and rent out to others. Our favorite activities are tubing, kayaking and canoeing down the river.

Edrene Case purchased this cottage in 2010

Why Edrene Case chose Russian River

This property is located on a great spot on the Russian River. There is a nice beach just a few steps away. The street is quiet with no through traffic. There are many large redwood trees that line the river and keep it cool in the summer. We have a large private spa and in the Summer a Gazebo set up across the river for you to use. Visit world class wineries just a few miles away in Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys or visit the many different tasting room right in town. Enjoy all the other activities Healdsburg has to offer, fine dinning, cool shops, popular brewery, free summer concerts in the square and weekly Farmer's Market. So much to do, be sure to stay at least 3 nights.

What makes this cottage unique

The views of the river and countryside from the back deck are fantastic. You can enjoy the large hot tub located in a secluded area under a grove of mature Redwood trees. The house has the charm of a vintage 1920's cabin but with all the comforts of home. Fine dinning and great wine tasting are located just a short drive away. Canoe and Kayak trips are available in town or go for a float off the beach behind the house. During the summer months we have inner tubes, noodles, ice chest, lounges, chairs and a beach umbrella you can take to the beach.

Beautiful and peaceful home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed an amazing 5 days here in early May. I fell in love with this small cottage along the river and cannot wait to return. Coffee in the mornings on the deck listening and watching the many birds go by and fish jumping in the river was so peaceful! After a day out and about or laying by the river we wld make a home cooked meal in the cozy kitchen and eat out on the deck under the redwoods. Then a dip in the hottub to sooth our souls and muscles. the house has everything you need to enjoy your stay and Edrene was very easy to work with during the rental process! We couldn't have been happier with our home away from home!! Looking forward to returning again soon! Thank you!

Great Location, Beautiful View, Very Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 3 nights in late March and it was beautiful. The river was full, the area is quiet and peaceful, and the location of the property is fantastic if you plan on wine tasting. Perfect for 2 couples or a small family vacation.

So relaxing

  • 5 of 5

I rented this charming cottage for our family vacation. I grew us in Sonoma County and always love going back, but I never relaxed quite as much as this vacation. It is so peaceful and quiet, I just sat outside and watched the river go lazily by. My kids have already said they want to go back again next year. I will definitely be staying here!

Cozy and Comfortable Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Very pleased with our lodging choice for two girlfriends on a getaway. The neighborhood is very quiet - we just heard birdsong. Kitchen had all the amenities and we appreciated the IPod player, private spa, large movie selection, central heat/air, and very comfortable beds. Plenty of linens and big washer and dryer. A large dining area across the back affords beautiful views of the trees and river below. In warmer weather I would've enjoyed a dip in the water and rocky beach a few doors down.

Perfect Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Our group consisted of two couples and this cottage was absolutely perfect. It sits right on the a beautiful stretch of crystal clear river where schools of bass swim around your feet. Friendly neighbors and other vacationers were at the waterside as well.

The cottage size and amenities - relaxing hot tub, gas and charcoal grills, hillside deck, inner tubes for floating down the river - were just what we were looking for. The location was perfect as well, sitting quietly back from any main roads but still conveniently close to town.

The owners were easy to communicate with and provided everything one could want or need for a relaxing weekend. On the morning of arrival, they even sent me an email letting me know that I could check in a few hours early if I wanted.

We definitely plan to go back.
