About Kim

We are from Lake Charles Louisiana. Always dreamed of moving to Colorado. I guess you can say my dreams came true. My husband and I have been married 17 years and have a very lively 4 year old son. Being from the South I LOVE meeting and talking to people. I am looking forward to meeting and talking to you.

Kim purchased this cabin in 2015

Why Kim chose Estes Park

The moment we walked into this historic 1938 cabin, we fell in love. It was the second house we saw and knew it was a gem. We want to share our lovely cabin full of historic charm with you. We will love for you to stay and have the same feeling we did the moment we walked through the door. I hope you love it as much as we do.

What makes this cabin unique

1 mile from Downtown Estes. 5.8 miles to Beaver Meadows Park entrance. Enjoy all the Elk and deer that graze the property. Because Lake Estes is walking distance from the cabin, Elk love this spot. It's a nice attraction for most wildlife.

Perfect location for a quiet get away.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin. It had everything we needed, as a couple, to be comfortable and just relax during our vacation in the Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park area. It was quiet and secluded and there were deer and elk in our area frequently. We were very close to the Lake Estes walking trail and minutes from the shops downtown. All the entrances to RMNP are within a 10-15 minute drive from the cabin. We cooked several of our own meals in the well-stocked kitchen and enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace in the living room. My husband and I left very refreshed and look forward to staying in this cabin again in the future.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! We were close to town so we could easily go to dinner, shopping, go to the grocery store, or whatever we needed to do. Two mornings we saw a family of deer outside and even got up close and personal with them one morning! Kim contacted me the day before we were to arrive as a reminder and even offered to get us in the cabin earlier than check in time if we needed. We arrived during the night (around 3 AM) and the cabin was unlocked waiting for us and she left lights on to help us find our way. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and we were able to cook at the cabin several times with no problems. The cabin was very clean and cozy and we enjoyed spending our honeymoon there. Would highly recommend this cabin to anyone :-)

A lovely retreat cabin that is centrally located in Estes Park. I appreciated the convenient parking and easy access to the cabin. The cabin is rustic and charming. A great place for enjoying Estes Park activities or just getting away for a few days of reflection and rest. The owners, Kim and Kevin are readily available and there is a definite sense of their pride in ownership. Overall, a great experience.
