The stay was great, away from the city!
Very charming, the rolling hills and free range animals where a great back drop
It was raining off and on while we were there. It really looked like the English country side or Scotland with the sheep and scattered rock formations on the rolling hills.
Really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
Just what we needed!
The cabin was even more restful, clean, and calming than we hoped it would be. We came for the quiet and received that in the form of grasslands and sheep and birds’ nests and cows - all outside our spare spotless cabin. It was the peace of wild things plus.... really great WiFi. Not a cook’s kitchen though! Stay simple on the food and you’ll be fine.
Beautiful, Peaceful and Quiet
The cabin and the property were absolutely wonderful for a quiet get-away for my wife and I. The one thing making this a 4-star instead of a 5-star review is the kitchen area. Although it is small (which is not a problem) there was barely anything available for us to use to cook a simple meal. There are no kitchen knives, only one small pan that needs to be replaced, no drying rack, no salt/basic spices/cooking oils, few cooking utensils, no foil, etc. If those things were added to the cabin it would make the experience significantly better. If not, just let guests know that those are not provided.
Again, the place is wonderful and I would return here in a heartbeat. I highly recommend it for a peaceful escape. Just be prepared to bring your own cooking supplies if you plan on making meals in the cabin.
Lovely getaway...great for our kids!
Our daughters really love the Little House on the Prairie books, so when they saw this place....they were in love. Everything was comfortable, even the pull-out sofa, and we really enjoyed watching the cattle and sheep grazing. We even saw an owl one evening by the porch. It was a sweet spot to slow down and enjoy the view.
Cozy, simple, and rustic!
The place was very cozy! We were blown away by how pretty the drive up to the house was. Green grass, rock formations, sunset!
