About Jeanne

We lived in this beautiful home and neighborhood for 13 years and enjoyed it very much. The home has many personal touches, like the one of a kind double sided stone fireplace, that make it quaint and unique. The area is so full of many fun vacation things to do. The neighborhood has walkable streets and two beautiful parks. When we moved we decided to extend the lovliness of the home and the area to others who want to adventure into the Vacation Coast of Ohio!!

Jeanne purchased this house in 1995

Why Jeanne chose Ohio

The uniqueness and coziness of the home make it a great vacation choice.

What makes this house unique

2 neighborhood parks, sandy beach and walk to the rock pier to fish. Close to many vacation fun spots: Lake Erie Islands, Cedar Point theme park, wineries, water parks, Nature preserves, water sports including public boat ramp.

Tecumseh plumbing issues

  • 3 of 5

We had some plumbing issues. The property manager's phone number was not listed in the information binder. It took a couple of days to track her down. Said she would send a plumber the next day. Three days later she called and asked me to explain the problem again and said a plumber would arrive the next day (the day we were leaving). Otherwise, it was ok. Said it slept 8, but really only 7, unless someone slept on the sofa. We have rented from VRBO/HomeAway in other places. This rental was pricey considering the size, location and accommodations.

Owner's Response: Sue, thank you for your feedback. My cell number is located in the welcome book as well as my handy man's number. Also, I can always be reached via email. When I received your concern I made a suggestion and then I followed up the next morning and was told that the drains were not clogged but draining slow in one bathtub. I had called the phone number on the listing but may have spoken to someone else in your party. At that time I said I would send someone but was told it was ok and that they just wanted to inform me. I am sorry if there was a misunderstanding somewhere but I do make every effort to insure thing go smoothly. There is a king, 2 double beds and 2 single beds in the home not including a pull out double sofa bed. To me that means sleeps 10, however others may feel differently. The nightly rate for the size of the home is comisserate with other homes in the neighborhood but I will continue to compare. Thank you again for your thoughts. Jeanne.

The house was great for our needs. We had several families staying together and had plenty of room.

We had a great time at this house. The owner was great and responded quickly every time I had a question. The house is good sized and had a nice back yard area to sit and talk. It is a short walk to the private beach and the town is nice also. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Great rental!

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed in this home for a week. It was great! Clean, spacious and an excellent location. The backyard was so nice. Plenty of sleeping and living space. Just up the street from the beach. Would definitely return.

Charming House - Perfect location

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here over the Labor Day weekend. This house is in a perfect location. It's within walking distance of the beach, grocery (and more) store and an Italian restaurant. It's an easy scenic drive to other small towns such as Vermilion, Marblehead and of course the ferries to Put-n-Bay and Kelley's Island. The house is very spacious and has all the amenities provided such as kitchen furnishings, bed linesn, towels and wifi. The master bedroom has a very comfortable king sized bed which provided great sleep and the attached bathroom was huge! Can't wait to go back.
