Pictures of 2017 remodel coming soon!

This one-room efficiency condo is on the third floor of Beachview, right across the street from the beach! The location can't be beat - it's right in the heart of Gulf Shores, close to restaurants, bars, and shopping.

It has a fully stocked kitchenette with table service for six, so you have extra. There is a small refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, and a two-element cooktop. There are pots and pans, so you can do some light cooking for yourself, like spaghetti or eggs. Bring along some coffee. There are filters provided. There is also salt and pepper, dish towels, and dish soap.

There is a queen-sized bed and a queen-sized futon couch. Bathroom with washcloths and towels. There are two beach towels and two beach chairs available for your use. Cable TV, and there is no wifi. We are trying to get free wifi in there sometime this year.

There is an adjoining unit that could also be rented for additional space. It is Listing #684869. Coin operated laundry machines on the second floor. They cost $1.75 each for washing and drying. Covered parking. No smoking, and no pets.

About Francie Dunlap

I'm the 'Peachy Beach Girl,' and my husband and I keep two of these little condo units so we can have some fun family vacations with our three daughters and friends. We are a homeschooling family that lives on a farm near Charlotte, NC. We have friends in the building who will be available to help you out if you need it.

Francie Dunlap purchased this studio in 2013

Why Francie Dunlap chose Alabama

I love Gulf Shores!!! I grew up near Chicago, and my family traveled here with our extended family every year for spring break. I can't believe how much it has changed (and for a kid, there is certainly more to do now, haha)! The Pink Pony is still there, and so is Sea N Suds. It's so great to be able to walk across the street to the beach every day, without paying a big price! Great times!

What makes this studio unique

Gulf Shores is so amazing, it makes you feel like all of your troubles have evaporated. It's so laid back, but it can be as exciting as you want, with all of the options for nightlife and activities. I love the location of this condo, because there is so much to do close by. It is nice to have a car with you if you like to explore everything in the area, but you can certainly be happy without one, because the bars, restaurants, and shopping are all nearby. The condo is clean and well-lit, and the exterior of the building has been remodeled (2016).

The Hangout Beach Bar across the street frequently has live bands that can be heard from your room, especially if you open the window. It gives it a fun atmosphere, but if you need it to be quiet in order to go to sleep early, I recommend that you bring earplugs. The music quiets down between 10:00 PM and 12:00 AM

Perfect for what we needed

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a quaint spot to lay your head at night, with lots of great places within walking distance then this is your condo. It was what we expected and wanted for the money we paid. The owner was readily available to answer all questions and made it so easy for us to have a laid back vacation without any hassle. It's right across the street from the hangout and pink pony, which was awesome. Noise was never an issue. Esp considering you are in gulf shores so expect some noise whether it's from the ocean, other families, or live music. Would for sure recommend.

Nice and Affordable Beach Trip

  • 4 of 5

My wife, 8 month old and I recently enjoyed a 3 night stay at this property. Everything was exactly as described. The manager, Francie, was very friendly and helpful via email. The location is great and makes this a very night place to stay. The room itself is tiny, as described, and the building is nothing fancy. However, you are directly across the street from a great beach and The Hangout, plus a short drive to anything and everything. I highly recommend this for anyone traveling on a budget, especially young travelers/couples. It's not ideal for a family trip, simply due to the size of the room. Traveling with an 8 month old requires lots of STUFF. While there, be sure to make the 10 minute drive to Cobalt one night for a nice dinner and live music (at least the night we went) and a perfect view of the sunset on the bay. Our favorite lunch spot, Bahama Bob's, is only a few mins drive in the other direction. The condo is conveniently adjacent to a Surf & Style if you realize you're missing any beach gear.

Cozy apartment with a great location.

Perfect space and location for two of us. We wanted to spend most of our time on the beach and it was directly across the street. Great location to restaurants and nightlife. Would stay again!

Great Memorial Day Weekend Stay

  • 5 of 5

The condo was exactly as described, but I had no idea just how great the location would be. We were able to walk everywhere, and only drove out one evening for dinner at Tin Top (Highly Recommend). We were able to walk to plenty of food and to the beach whenever we wanted. The one downside is that there is not much of a freezer, so getting ice for the cooler meant a walk to dollar general. Getting in and out of the condo was a breeze and Francie was nice checking in and quick to respond to any questions.

Overall, this condo is great for a weekend stay at Gulf Shores where you can walk to everything and I would definitely stay here again.

Recently remodeled and upgraded very nice

  • 5 of 5

The property was in a wonderful location right across the street from the beach and great entertainment. It seemed the building had just finished being remodeled and looked nice. There was a lot of activity going on but it was quiet at night which was nice as a full day on the beach I was wanting a good night sleep. I will return.

Very Best Location!

  • 5 of 5

I booked this condo based almost exclusively on location to the beach, the Hangout and other restaurants, shopping, etc. I travelled with my daughter and her friend for Spring Break--two 15 year old girls. The location was awesome in that the girls could have a little freedom to come and go, and I would not have to deal with driving them back and forth to the beach, the Hangout, etc. It was perfect and the girls loved being there, even asking me to get the same condo again in the future.

As far as the leaky tub in the bathroom--well, if you just make sure the curtain is flush against the tub, you won't have any problems. Unfortunately, the previous tenant nor my girls could perfect this, but that's the reason for the water in the floor. The room is clean and has just about everything you could need, except I would bring a few extra towels. The building itself is being renovated, so upon arriving my daughter was like, where have you got us staying? But actually, they made a lot of progress in the few days we were there, and you can tell it's going to be very cute once completed. The building has a parking garage underneath, and plenty of parking behind the building as well.

The room is small, and reminded me very much of dorm living. The others in the building were nice and polite, and you could pick out the people who live here from the tourist with no problem. Upon returning from the beach one day, I got caught up in a group of college kids on their way back to their room. Unfortunately, one of the guys was being loud and obnoxious. I was fine, but the building manager noticed and apologized, and called the Board of Directors of the Condo, who was promptly on scene and inquired as to what happened and apologized. You can really tell they are serious about having a safe environment, so I was happy about that.

Yes, you can hear the music from the Hangout and it's quite loud, but I knew it and it really didn't bother me. It was all part of the beach environment, and I actually enjoyed it. I got to relax and read and rest with no problems, while the girls enjoyed themselves. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, public beach, the Hangout, and the Pink Pony Pub are across the street. There is even a Dollar General a block away for anything you need or just forgot.

All in all a great place to stay. We really enjoyed this little gem.
