About Linda Cherven
We were searching for a nice place to retire. After searching all over Western North Carolina we settled in Maggie Valley. There was just something about this small town we really liked. Friendly people and small town living. My husband was a telephone repairman and I was a nurse. We worked hard to get where we are today. We have yours, mine and ours children. Four daughters and so proud of each one of them. We have two grandsons.
Linda Cherven purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Linda Cherven chose Maggie Valley
We bought this cabin when we first arrived in Maggie Valley. We have enjoyed the years we lived in the cabin and made many friends seasonally and permanently. When summer comes it is like a "summer retreat." We still live in Maggie Valley. I wanted to keep this cabin and let others make great memories and enjoy what we had experienced.
What makes this Cabin unique
You are looking up at the mountains which means you can bike or walk anywhere especially to the restaurants, park across from Campbell Creek, churches, etc. Since it is a one story house there are only two steps in garage into the kitchen. Having a garage when it rains or snows is excellent and easy to bring in groceries. We get a nice breeze during the spring/summer/fall months.... hardly used the A/C. But it is there for you if you need it. It is a nice setting and you can hear the church chimes during the day from your screened-in porch. Minutes to casino in Cherokee and lots of places to go visit .... Gatlinburg, Asheville, etc. We are motorcycle friendly with a garage to store you bikes.

Beautiful and very relaxing!
We rented this cabin for 2 weeks and enjoyed it very much. This cabin is perfect! Well kept, well supplied, Comfortable, clean and a wonderful view!! Plus not a steep climb to get to the cabin. This is diffently home away from home. King bed very comfortable and slept great. Plenty of room and kitchen has a nice pantry to store your extra food.
I read the reviews about the dogs, however, the dog’s owners must be handling the situation. Saw the dogs out with their owner, never had any problems with the dogs in the yard or barking.
Cabin owners are wonderful and are only a call away and will help answer any question you have whether it is concerning the cabin, where is the best places to hike or eat.
Will rent this cabin again, for sure! Thank you Linda and Dennis for opening your cabin for others to enjoy!
Cabin with a view
We loved our first trip to Maggie Valley. We normally stay in Gatlinburg but we will be back! It's so close to everything. We had the best daily adventures. The cabin is so well kept and the view can't be beat. Loved our stay !!
Very nice cabin and clean
Enjoyed our stay in Maggie Valley. We had a nice view of the mountains. Great location. Only problem, there is a neighbor that has three big dogs. The neighbor is one of those that doesn't keep his dogs in his yard. Guess he thinks everyone should love his dogs. Maybe next time I will bring my BB gun😲
I am glad you liked our cabin and location.
I am sorry about the neighbor's dogs. I have since talked with our neighbors and they informed me that the issue will be
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maggie Valley. The home was very comfortable and well appointed. My wife and I are all ready talking about a return trip, although I think it will be during a warmer time of year. Thanks again for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.
So glad you enjoyed your stay. The cabin awaits you for a return visit.

This little cabin is amazing, quiet, and cozy!
The cabin was clean and stocked well with blankets, towels, and other linen. My wife nor I can say enough nice things about the cabin and the surrounding areas. Being from Florida, the Elk were a huge bonus for us to witness and watch. The mountain vistas from the back of the cabin from inside the house or out on the screened porch were beautiful. It was a different picture every fifteen minutes as the sun, clouds, fog, and rain were constantly changing throughout the day. My advice is to get your reservations in early cause this cabin will book quickly as the word gets out! Thanks to the owners for opening this small piece of heaven and sharing it with us. We love the area of Maggie Valley, and this cabin only made us fall in love deeper with it!

a beautiful view and a cozy cabin!
we had a great stay. the weather was strange, but sitting in front of the gas fireplace with a good book was perfect. one of these days i'll make it to maggie valley when there are leaves on the trees!
Location is great for many Maggie Valley attractions. There is always something going on at the Festival Grounds, Ghost Town in the Sky, a lot of places to eat, hiking, Motorcycle rallies. Walk the streets of downtown Waynesville. You also can venture out for the day to the Casino in Cherokee or walk the town of Cherokee and visit the shops... then to other towns over the Smokys to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge to Dollywood. Asheville also has events through the summer.
