About this property

You Can Walk To The Beach!

Kayadon 2 is a well-equipped 2 bedroom, 2 bath unique beach property utilizing an open concept design. Gliding barn doors separate the bedrooms from the living area providing privacy while maintaining an open feel. The front bedroom has a private bath that opens to an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach or simply open the shower door to the outside and experience a shower under the stars! The back bedroom also has a bath entrance but is shared for common use. The living room and kitchen are a great room with an open concept. All furnishings are new with plenty of seating. Kayadon 2 sleeps 4 in beds. The couch is large enough to sleep a 5th person, however it would be cozy. The outside front porch is ideal for people watching and enjoying the weather. There is a side gathering area for relaxing. Parking in the driveway for 1 car and ample street parking.

The location was perfect for us. We enjoyed walking the few blocks to a beautiful beach, having Torrey Pines so close as well as a few options for pickleball play. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and Terri was a great host. We enjoyed Bird Rock, Pacific Beach and the coffee at Immersion. We'll be back!

This wonderful cottage was the perfect place for our family’s beach getaway. Very clean and close to the beach. A short walk to have our toes in the sand. Great Bungalow

This little bungalow was perfect for two people. The location is walkable to many restaurants, the beach, coffee shops, groceries, the seals. It is also well situated for driving and sightseeing both North along the coast and south into San Diego. Definitely worth a return visit.

I am so happy to offer my wonderful property to singles, couples and families! After my husband lost a 5 year battle to cancer, I decided to move from Louisville, KY back to sunny Southern California where I was raised. I bought the Kayadon cottages with a vision to provide an upbeat beachy vibe to vacationers who like to be in the thick of it all! So, I took all my energy and oversaw every detail. I wanted the cottages to be somewhere I would stay. My husband and I have traveled the world and I know what it takes to be comfortable. But honestly, you can't get it all perfect. So, let me share with you the things you should know to make your stay memorable. Where to eat, how to cut down on street noise, the best way to get to the beach, what hours you can take your pet to the beach off leash, etc. I'll share what I know and you can educate me as you learn fun facts, too!

Why they chose this property

You are truly at a beach bungalow. Hop on your bikes to take a cruise around the neighborhood or to the beach, village or nearby restaurant. The Cottages are well equipped with plenty of movies, games and books. Relax inside or watch the people and the cars go by while sitting on the front porch. It's fun to strike up a conversation with a local as there is plenty of foot traffic heading to the beach. If you're looking for a secluded location, this is not the place for you!

What makes this property unique

The Kayadon Cottages are small and cozy but efficient with every nook and cranny utilized. Both bathrooms are "wet bath" with the shower, sink and toilet using an open concept. The front bedroom (master) has an adjoining outdoor shower for showering after the beach. Or just open the bathroom door to the outside and feel free to experience showering outside in your "all together!" Of course, there are walls!
