Peaceful, private, perfect 3 acre oasis to unplug from it all or be close to all
Quaint mountain cabin with a stream running thru entire property. Amazing views from the cabin & from the property. Both are also very quiet & private. Minutes from incredible hiking & waterfalls. Historic downtown Hendersonville NC is a short 15 minute drive. Asheville airport is an easy 25 minute drive. The famous Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Bat Cave, the great Smokey Mountains, & the Blue Ridge Mountains are all within a 45 min or less drive. You can enjoy the fun of summer, the beautiful changing of the leaves, or a mild winter getaway. The famed Sierra Nevada Brewing Companies multi million dollar facility is right next to the Asheville airport. There are 3 amazing wineries & a cider house within a 15 minute drive. Well known Lake Lure & Chimney Rock that both have breathtaking views, mountain charm, hiking, boating, & even a beach are just over the mountain & a short 25 minute ride. Downtown Hendersonville is loaded with quant shops, amazing restaurants, ice cream, coffee, & an always favorite Mast General Store. You can spend a day just touring Main Street. Even with business' abounding, it still has that mountain town charm that gives you a glimpse into it's historic past. Some of the best mountain biking in the country is less than 30 mins from downtown. Gold mining, sliding rock, tubing, kayaking, rock climbing, or if you're just out for a scenic drive all are within a short distance (30 mins). Cabin sleeps 4-6 people. There is a master bedroom with a queen bed, a full size loft with a queen bed, & a lay flat small sectional couch. There is space for an additional small roll away (child only) in the living room, & for a blow up mattress or porta crib in the master. The cozy living area has a gas fireplace for cooler weather & A/C for those warmer days. Windows abound to take in all the views. There is also a small but full size kitchen, a vanity room, & a full size bathroom with a shower/tub. There are rockers on the front porch & a large outside deck for star gazing or sun bathing or anything in between. There is a small table & chairs for an intimate cup of coffee, or a picnic table on the front deck if you decide to have an outside lunch. Kitchen & bathroom should have everything you need for your stay. There are towels & linens also. There is a washer & dryer available for personal use, but please simply leave used towels & sheets on the floor when you leave. We would like to wash all of our own towels & linens. Blankets are taken to a dry cleaner, please do not wash any of the blankets. At the top of the long, private, paved driveway is plastic garbage container's that we would ask for you to place all of your bagged trash in when you leave. There is a very nice basketball goal on the property for your use. I recommend bringing your own ball. There is also an outside fire ring, but it is important to call the local fire department to confirm if the area is under a burn ban or not before having any outside fires. The property is simple but very clean. We also have a monthly pest control visit throughout the year. There is wifi, but no tv, or cable. This is by design & most people that object to no tv but decide to stay with us anyway end up thanking us afterward. We realize it won't work for everyone but it truly opens the door to relaxing, relationship, & recovery for many individual's & families. For urgent matters, cell service is not great but available depending on your carrier & wifi is also available at Starbucks or Chick Filet which are both about a 20 minute drive into town. Fireside is one of the best breakfast locations in the area, & Appalachian Coffee Company is a favorite coffee stop. Both are in Hendersonville. The property truly is in a perfect location for anything you may want to experience in the Carolinas or surrounding areas. The amazing new equestrian center in Tryon NC is only a 30 minute drive (approx. 23 miles) & has plenty to see & do. The surrounding areas are plentiful for adventure. Hiking, white water rafting, tubing, mountain biking to name a few. The sightseeing is incredible. There is a quant local petting zoo just 10 minutes away that the kids love. There are also multiple summer camps in the area that people come from all over the country to experience. We've had parents enroll the kids at camp while they take a getaway of their own with us. If you just want to slow down & recover or busy yourself with activities, there is an experience for everyone. Simply staying at the property can be one of the most tranquil experiences ever. Great environment for snuggling up w/someone, or just with a good book. There are three wonderful vineyards within 10 minutes of the property. Burntshirt, Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards, & Point Lookout Vineyards. Plenty of golf close too during most of the year, including a great course with nite golf during the summer months just 10 minutes away. Do not wander onto the fenced property across from the other side of the stream. This is all private land & there is no trespassing. Signs are typically posted in these areas. All of the neighbors land is private property. The setting & property truly are remarkable & rare. You can go as slow or make yourself as busy as you'd like. A slice of heaven on earth!

The cabin was so cute! I enjoyed a tech-free stay with my daughters. We enjoyed playing the games the host kept in the cabin, watching the wildlife across from the brook, and stargazing at night. The cabin is located near apple/pumpkin picking farms and within a short driving distance of downtown Hendersonville. This cabin is definitely one we will return to.

Thank you, so good to hear & glad you were able to stay with us. Please do come back.
Completely surprised when we arrived. No wifi nowhere to sit outside no grill. Although both WiFi and grill were listed.owner offered to pay for grill which I would have had to assemble. Told me if we were desperate for WiFi go to Chick-fil-A. We only stayed one night and left the next morning.
Close to many things to do but serene and peaceful once you step onto property and hear the bustling stream! Everything was as described and we enjoyed our stay!
Clean cozy cabin on beautiful property. Our stay included my husband and I, dog, and my parents visited during our time there. We enjoyed the view from the porch and the creek. It feels like our home away from home. Highly recommend!

Thx to you & your family for staying with us Rod. Pls come back anytime. It always amazes us how our kids don’t seem to tire of playing in that stream!
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The cabin was clean and well furnished. We loved the outdoor area and the creek. It was very quiet, private and peaceful yet close enough to attractions. Check in and check out was super easy. We got lots of info from Terry on the cabin and things to do in the area. I would definitely stay again.
Enjoyed a little Holiday getaway with my family in this quaint cabin set on a peaceful little view with a creek. Terry the property manager was great at communicating and super helpful when needed. I’ve already recommended this place to a friend and would love to come back!
Kids had a blast. Had to improvise sleeping arrangements due to broken sleeper sofa bed frame. But overall, would definitely stay again.

Glad you had a blast! Apologize for the bed, I’m checking into how that could’ve been missed because cleaner is supposed to open up after every rental to vacuum even if it wasn’t actually used. I’d like to add a free nite to your future stay. Appreciate you choosing our property!
We loved the coziness of this cabin with the fireplace and the porch overlooking the creek, field, and the mountain. The cabin was clean, warm, and had everything we needed for our stay. I loved having the option of multiple space heaters in case we needed extra coverage in another section - we didn't need more than one. We're looking forward to a summer/fall visit.

Thank you for choosing our property, hope to see you again soon.
My husband and I along with our little dog spent two nights in Terry's cabin. It was extremely clean and yet felt very cozy. The beds were very comfy and the little kitchen provided ample work space to make meals. The nearby stream was such a nice addition and although it rained alot we were able to sit on the covered porch and enjoy the view of the stream. Terry was an excellent host and easy to reach and communicate with.
We spent most of the stay on the balcony or in the rustling creek. The house was small but it had everything we needed for the week for the two of us and our dog. It wasn't far from civilization but it was nice and secluded for most of the stay. One other house is close, as advertised, but wasn't a problem.

About the host
Hosted by Terry
The property has been family owned for 40 years. We've built each of them with our own hands. The summer of 2019 brought a refresh to every structure on the property. Paint inside & out, decks sealed, new roof, & many other improvements to the entire property.
Why they chose this property
It really is it's own paradise & couldn't be any better located for everything in the surrounding areas.
What makes this property unique
From the property it's hard to see another home. Creek runs thru entire property, Has capability of renting out all of the cabins & that could sleep 18 people, but it would be tight. More comfortably 15 people. Again, this isn't for this one cabin, but if you chose to rent entire property.
