You deserve the best for your vacation on the Big Island! Kolea is the only beach-front residential community in the Waikoloa Beach Resort. Luxury accommodations with views of the ocean along Anaeho’omalu Bay (A-Bay) on the Kohala coast will allow you a slice of paradise to relax and enjoy the aloha spirit. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath villa in the private, gated community of Kolea has been furnished with beautiful Hawaiian woodwork and art. Our meticulously kept unit features a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, African mahogany trim, and a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your private meals. The villa has also been recently refurbished with brand new carpeting and travertine floors. As you walk through the fully-retractable 9’ pocket doors to the beautiful lanai, there is a summer kitchen with a stainless steel Viking grill, beverage cooler, and handy sink. You can sit down and enjoy the warm tropical breeze and awesome views of A-bay. You can even look on the other side of the lanai for a view of Mauna Kea. The Kolea Beach Club, exclusively for owners and guests of Kolea, has an infinity pool, hot tub, sand pool with waterfall, towel service, and an exercise room. From the beach club, you can walk right through to the ancient royal fishing ponds to the beach at A-bay. You are also within walking distance of the Kings and Queens shops located across the street from Kolea. There, you will find world-class dining, shopping, and golf. Every convenience is located right in the heart of paradise in Kolea. Come and relax in our beautiful home away from home.

Turn off A/C and lanai fan.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Early arrivals or late departures if the unit is available per management will be subject to additional fee to reserve the unit for your use.
Guest is responsible for all taxes at time of check-in. Hawaii state and local taxes can change at anytime. Additional tax payments maybe charged.

This was our second stay in the same apartment- and the level of cleanliness was exceptional both times (4 years apart). We enjoyed enormously being able to return to the same area, feeling even more at ease and comfortable knowing the area- and Kolea is really a beautiful experience all around. We plan to return. The view never gets old- and the level of quiet that n the area despite all the guests was impressive made enjoying outdoor time on the lanai very pleasant.

We were pleasantly surprised to learn about the free daily morning coffee by the pool, close (walking) proximity to the beach, and partial view of the water! Served as a great home base for our Big Island vacation. Appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler as well! Highly recommend!

Beautiful condo and location

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was very nice and comfortable with all that we needed for our time on the Big Island. It is in a beautiful and convenient location. The airport is nearby and shopping was easily accessible. We were there during the Ironman and a few roads were closed but not a huge factor with patience. We will definitely consider a return to this area and condo! Thank you, Sandy for hosting us and to Dani for her communication with us.

Epic but Short Trip to the Big Island

We had 9 people total in our extended family trip. We ended up staying 4 nights on the big island. Half of our group already had a condo at Koleo, so I searched high and low to find a second condo in the same complex for the rest of us. Luckily, Vrbo had several choices. Great location, and a great unit. We were confortable, and our host thought of some great touches, like extra towels and a cooler for the beach. They were also very responsive. One suggestion - have twin beds in the 2nd bedroom. It would be tight, but more flexible for different guest configuration.

Our family of 5 had a great stay. The unit was clean, spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. The beach towels and cooler were very helpful. The pool was peaceful and relaxing and steps from the beach. Communication with the owner/manager was responsive and accommodating. Overall a relaxing day and enjoyable vacation.

Our family loved staying at the condo. It was very comfortable and we enjoyed everything about it. The owners have thought through everything you would need. The lanai was probably our favorite part. Waking up everyday to a view to drink our coffee was terrific. We also enjoyed grilling a few dinners. The sunsets from the beach were spectacular. My girls loved the pool. Very nice pool with great lounge chairs. The quality of the condo unit and landscaping was very nice! Also, great location with shops and dining close by.

Island Getaway

Fantastic unit and location. Close to everything you need (beach, shopping, restaurants). Our three little kids loved it and made good use of the provided beach toys. Even during peak travel season it was never too busy at the pool or beach. I'll definitely be back to this unit. Don't hesitate, this is the perfect spot on the big island.

Stayed at this property with my husband, toddler and infant. Perfect for family with small children. Tall ceilings and nice furnishings/appliances. Very comfortable beds. Well equipped for both toddler (floaties and kitchen utensils) and infant (high chair and pack n play), which was much appreciated! The pool area was quiet and great for families with young kids. Short walk to the beach if you want. We separately rented a wagon/pool toys to transport things down to the pool and it was super easy. Agreed with other reviewers that the building is hard to find due to lack of signage in the complex. Will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit!

Relaxing time

If you want to be close to a beach yet have a stunning place to hang out poolside, this is the place for.you. comfortable beds and super clean. The only thing I can fault this unit for is on hot days the air conditioner doesn't quite keep cool enough in the spare bedroom for sleeping, there is a fan which helps. We never opened the lanai doors for that reason. We rented a golf cart and really enjoyed cruizin' all over in it.

Serenity in the Islands

Fantastic view, upscale use of Koa Wood. All amenities included, 3 flat screen TV’S, Stainless appliances, Washer/Dryer, beautiful pool area with easy access to beach, Use of Marriott and Hilton’s amenities, carport, A/C. It is also a very quiet setting but steps to restaurants and shops. It is only 20 minutes from the airport, Cisco and Safeway. Unforgettable experience and very romantic too! ❤️
