About the property

Private garden apartment in historic Uptown house. Large bedroom, large bathroom with custom shower, and large open living, dining, and kitchen area. All brand new, stainless appliances. Double sleeper sofa. Walk three doors down to St. Charles to catch the streetcar down to the French Quarter, take a walk or jog on the Mississippi River Trail or to Audubon Park, walk three blocks to endless shopping and eating on Maple St (and venture just a few blocks farther to even more options on Oak St). Minutes from Tulane and Loyola Universities. And after a long, hot day exploring NOLA, enjoy a refreshing dip in our heated pool!

We live upstairs and are generally around and will be as available as our guests would like. We love to eat at local restaurants, listen to music, etc. and love to share what we love about our city with visitors. We have a book of restaurants and a list of things to do in New Orleans in the apartment.

Great location and nicely equiped

Talk about foodie heaven, you couldn't go 3 blocks without hitting a wonderful restuarant. The kitchen is the best equipped we've rented. The pool was lovely. Would stay again if we are in new orleans

Quiet Uptown Lodging

Perfect place to stay for a visit to a New Orleans. We were there to visit our son who lives in the Carrollton area, and we all enjoyed relaxing by the pool just outside the door in the secluded backyard. Easy to walk one block to hop on the St Charles streetcar for a day sightseeing in the French Quarter, then back to the quiet, tree-lined, residential neighborhood at the end of the day. Easy walking to dining, coffee, ice cream, wonderful used bookstore, streetcar, etc. The unit is large for 2-3 people and the hosts were wonderful and as available as we needed them to be. (Since we have been to NOLA several times, we did not need tourist recommendations). We are already looking forward to our next chance to stay here!

Cozy apartment in a safe neighborhood, a block from a trolley stop towards the French Quarter.

The apartment is in the first floor, and is completely independent. It has been recently renovated: the kitchen is fully equipped with all you could need, the bathroom is spotless, washing and drying machines, the bedroom is spacious, small dining table and living room, internet. The property has been recently renovated; the closets are still being worked on, but there is plenty of room where one can empty the luggage and get organised.

It is located uptown, in a lovely neighborhood having a variety of restaurants, cafes, and pubs. By trolley, one can get to the French Quarter in 45 min or less. The daily pass is $3. On the way to downtown along St. Charles Ave, one can admire the marvelous architecture of the Garden District. The trolley runs 24 hours, passing by once every 20 minutes in the early morning hours.

To visit the bayous I rented a car, for which I had no difficulty in finding street parking.

On the few days I have stayed, I have walked along St. Charles Ave, and also to the nearby Audubon Park, which is a jewel. The park was designed keeping in mind the bayou geography, with lagoons, and trails. At the end of the park is the Mississippi.

After my long walks, hikes to the bayous, and late nights at Frenchmen St. I have come back to the apartment to freshen myself in the small swimming pool right outside the door: quite a treat.

Interacting with Sasha, the host, was smooth via e-mail and phone. If I could recommend anything it would be to have a bike available to ride along St. Charles and towards Audubon park. It would be fun.

Whenever I come back to New Orleans, I would try to stay here again.

Very cute garden apartment close to everything. Sasha was very gracious and accommodating.

This was a nice, quiet place close to everything. The kitchen is lovely and well stocked. There is a private patio and a pool. The only thing I would caution others is to be careful when you enter the apartment, as the door is low, and there are two steps immediately as you enter. We would definitely consider staying here again!
