About Shawn Robinette
We moved to Maine in 1997 from Seattle. We own a coffee shop/bakery in Southwest Harbor by the name of Milagro Coffee & Espresso. In addition to the downtown Southwest Harbor Studio, we also have a 2 bedroom apartment in the same building and a beach house on Newbury Neck in Surry, which is available to rent.
Shawn Robinette purchased this Studio in 2017
Why Shawn Robinette chose Southwest Harbor
The Acadia area of Maine is one of the prettiest areas in the country. Once you get here you will know immediately why we decided to settle here.
What makes this Studio unique

Cozy stay in the Snuggery
A comfy, well-appointed studio in a great location!
The property is as described. Owners are very responsive yet respectful of your privacy. The location is in Town. Walked to some great food. Rode bikes to waterfront dining for lobster fresh off the dock. Great hiking within 2 miles. Busy side of the island (Bar Harbor) is about 25 mins drive. Enjoying staying here for five nights.
Quiet Side Retreat
This property is an updated studio at the back of a storefront. We enjoyed the king bed and the modern kitchen area, which also had basics such as salt, pepper, garlic powder, sugar and coffee filters. There are plenty of places to store luggage and put away or hang clothes. We also loved that we could go right around the corner to shops, cafes and the Island Express bus stop. Southwest Harbor is away from the chaos of Bar Harbor and we liked that. Because this building is older and has other units, there is some noise through the walls and above but it never interfered with our sleep or activities. There is no washer and dryer but there is a nice laundromat just up the street, which we used once. You may want to bring a few extra bath towels if you like a fresh one each day or let the owner know to stock more. We stayed for 5 days and quickly used the four towels in the unit but we hung them to dry and reused them. This unit also does not have AC and it did get into the 80’s a few of our days but there is a fan and we were never uncomfortable. You can drive easily and pretty quickly to just about anywhere on the island from this unit. Booking, checking in and communication with the owners was all good.
