About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 3-5)

This cabin is a two-story, authentic red cedar log cabin nestled in a cozy cove in a private community in the Smoky Mountains. It is located on one and one-half acres five miles from downtown Murphy. Easy access year round. It features hardwood floors, two bedrooms (one loft), and a spacious great room with high-vaulted ceiling, kitchen, dining, and bath.

Relax to the sounds of the running spring-fed stream and waterfall. The split-level redwood deck overlooks the trout pond. Also within a very short walking distance to the Nottely River and another community lake for picnicing, swimming, and fishing. There is also a large lot across the street from the cabin that has direct, personal access to the Nottley River with a private deck, and stairs down to the Nottley River.

Great Getaway!

Nice little cabin - perfect for our anniversary getaway. No complaints from us! The neighborhood is very nice and secluded. Great for evening walks. Close to town for all the activities. We loved it!

Great Stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

Arrived to a beautiful and welcoming cabin. Bear themed which carried all through the cabin. We have already recommended The Shaw's comfortable cabin to friends who travel to this area at least once a year. Owners are very responsive and helpful. We hope they appreciate the new addition to their bear collection. Excellent Stay thank you.

Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is great. The ad is not misleading in anyway expect when I went in the Summer, the trout pond was dry and needed weed-eating. You could not fish it which was disappointing. Other than that, it was quite and clean and cozy. A good location and great value. Would recommend.

Quiet cabin for a home base

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is beautiful and the decor is great. Loved the handmade doors inside and the coffe table. We stayed here four nights and took day trips in all directions. The cabin is right on the road, but is in a small community and we saw very little traffic. The fridge took awhile to cool things down the first night, but kept everything cold after that. The deck is awesome and not a single mosquito bite. Enjoed hearing the waterfall and the frogs croaking in the evening. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful vacation!!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed every minute of our vacation here!we stayed for 4 days! The cabin was wonderful and me my husband and my 3 yr old son enjoyed fishing in the little pond down the street. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the little waterfall and pond by the house. We hope to visit again my son didn't want to leave.

Nice get away...

  • 5 of 5

Great little place if you see looking to just relax. The cabin has a nice comfortable atmosphere. We used it as a central location to see the fall color change this year. The large deck was nice to get out and sit with the family and enjoy the weather. The area across the street was great for the kids to run and play in the leaves. There was a bit of confusion when we arrived, but the owners were very helpful, apologetic and resolved the situation. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
