Gorgeous and Tranquil

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful home to celebrate NYE and our 20th wedding anniversary! This house is top notch, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need or want. The views are breathtaking. The bed was as if you were sleeping on a cloud. Highly recommend!

Lake Paradise

This place was amazing. It was very warm and cozy. I stayed here the week of Christmas, and the owner had it decorated with indoor, decorated trees and decorations. Which made our stay even more accommodating! All we had to do was put our giftsUnder the tree. Everything was immaculate, and we had everything we could have needed or wanted at our fingertips. There was plenty of wood for the outdoor fire pit, and it already had wood inside it, ready to go! They had a Bose speaker and extra batteries in the kitchen drawer....Everything was so convenient. I was very impressed with all the kitchen tools and amenities. They had everything you needed. The garage had tons of lake toys and fishing poles. We didnt get to do any of that because of the weather, but it was all available! The beds were very comfortable. They had plenty of bathroom and beach towels for the outdoor hot tub. The evening view was beautiful, watching the sun go down on the lake while relaxing in the patio jacuzzi. The outdoor bed swing was a nice touch. The owner communicated well and was friendly. My family and I thouroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again!

Lovely Holiday

Our a family of four booked the house for a Thanksgiving getaway. The home so cost and had everything imaginable to make your stay comfortable. Communication with the owner was great as well. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect Lake House

Everything about this lake house was amazing...the location on the lake, essentials and more were provided by the owner, the layout of the house was family friendly. We enjoyed spending time on the screened in porch, the deck, and around the fire pit. We loved it!

An absolute paradise!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time. Beds were comfortable, the house had everything we needed. But the best part was the back porch, yard and lake. We had so much fun and relaxation. View was beautiful!

Wonderful time

Exceptional place and host. Would give ten stars if could. The beach area for the little ones to walk right into the lake is one of a kind. Generous supplies and water toys . Awesome outdoor porch and decks and firepit. We already want to go back! Oh and the sunset views!!!!!!

Fabulous location!

Beautiful house with an amazing view, dock, deck and screened porch. Love the location. Half-way up the lake, making boat access to all parts of the lake easy. This home has a wonderful fully stocked kitchen. Second time staying here, and we enjoyed it just as much the second time.

Absolutely Perfect!

So sad that our amazing week in this gem has come to an end. This was one of the best VRBO properties I have ever stayed in. The location is perfect (lake is WONDERFUL!) and the house was clean and well stocked. However, what really makes this place special are the small details. They have super nice lighting around the property, freshly planted seasonal flowers, GREAT lake and boat toys and so much more. Everything was well thought out, well maintained and surprisingly perfect. Cant wait to go back!!!

Perfect Lake Getaway

We absolutely loved this home! The lot is amazing, with an incredibe view of the lake and sunset. This home has everything! A hot tub, dock, fantastic grill, and every amenity a guest could want or need. The lot is level to the lake and is beautifully manicured, with a lighted, concrete walk to the dock. We will absolutely stay here everytime with go to Lake Chatuge. Also, the Host was awesome, and she was so responsive!

Wonderful stay

We had a great time here and will definitely be back. Donna was great at communicating with us when needed. The house and property are very clean and it was very easy to launch my large fishing kayak there. We loved it!

Peaceful!

We had a relaxing stay. We loved the screened in porch and hot tub. The views of the lake from the home were gorgeous. The house had everything we needed. If we are in the area again we would rent this home again.

Perfect place to stay!

One of our favorites. House was well-stocked with everything needed from kitchen to bathrooms, soap at every sink, trash bags, towels, toiletries that they picked up as they travel (which was wonderful), power strips by bed, blow dryer, everything in kitchen you could imagine you need, etc. - you could seriously bring food and clothes and be set. Beds were very comfy with soft sheets, large closet with dresser, bench, hangers, and hamper. Decorated for Christmas which was beautiful, warm and cozy. Very quick to respond to any issue and had solutions. Loved the fireplace. Big, great fire pit with wood and splitter. Hot tub felt so good and easy to operate and move cover. Lots of places to relax on screen porch with couch swing, comfy chairs, and dining room table, and on deck with lounge chairs and rockers, overlooking lake, which is very peaceful. Instructions for checkin-out were easy to understand and they thought of everything. Thank you for a wonderful stay. The only thing that would make it better would be to install the upgraded higher toilets. Perfect place to stay with your family.

Awesome Property

Beautiful home and property! Kitchen was fully stocked and we had everything we needed. It’s such a beautiful area, we had a great time together with our longtime friends. Hands Down One of Our Best Ever Rentals

Perfect!

Picture perfect setting/home for a mountain lake vacation! Lots of places to relax and enjoy the quiet of the setting, as well as plenty of opportunity for boating, kayaking, and hiking. Return to the property for deck sitting, porch swinging, soaking in the hot tub, and enjoying the fire pit.

Loved this place!

We really enjoyed our stay here in July. This is probably the best stocked kitchen we have ever had in a rental. We loved having a gas grill and the fire pit is also awesome. The outdoor living space is amazing and the dock area is great. My daughter and her friend swam right off the dock and our dog played on the beach. We rented a boat from Boundry Waters and it was easy to get it in and out of the dock area. The central location of this house on the lake is fabulous. We would like to rent this place again next year, but we are so annoyed with the VRBO/Expedia app hijacking everyone who enters VRBO with the "One key" sign up (which I really don't want or need), that I am seriously considering boycotting VRBO until they change this. Expedia is literally blocking anyone from using VRBO without signing up for One Key. I feel bad for owner's that rent through VRBO right now.

Beautiful Home

Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home! Beautifully decorated, house had everything we needed, an amazing porch and deck space, and the bedrooms and beds were all very comfortable and made us feel at home. We loved cruising and tubing Lake Chatuge with our boat rental, going for our morning run through the hills and lakeside scenery, and taking the kids to Marina Station and Helen. Hope we can make another trip next summer!

Cedar Cliff Lakeside Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Donna's home on beautiful Lake Chatuge. The house is very well maintained, the beds are super comfy, and comes with all the necessities to make for a great week (or two in our case) at the lake. We’ve stayed at a lot of VRBO properties and this one was one of the best in regards to all the extra nice to have perks - everything you need in the kitchen for cooking, plethora of lake/boat toys and towels, great natural gas grill, and hot tub). With the fantastic screened porch, additional deck space and two-level dock, we spent the majority of our time at the home outside, including all our meals. Many s’mores were roasted over the great firepit as well. We were able to take advantage of the convenient location and enjoyed boating and water sports, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, swimming in the lake behind the house, and visiting local wineries. As a pet friendly house, our dog lived his best life enjoying the spacious and secure porch/deck area and daily swims and paddle board excursions. The house is in a very well-established neighborhood with plenty of separation between us and the neighbors made for a very relaxing and serene lake get away. Wonderful House on the Lake.

We had a wonderful time during our stay here. The house was very clean and perfect for what we needed. I brought a large fishing kayak and the lot had very easy water access for getting the kayak in and out of the water. We loved the screened in porch and large grassy yard. We cooked all of our meals and the kitchen was well furnished with everything we needed. Donna was very responsive and great with communications. We cant wait to go back!

Great lake house with beautiful sunsets

Fabulous house with great amenities! The owners have thought of everything to make our stay fun, easy, and perfect family time. The kayaks and paddleboard, cornhole boards, fire pit, and the screened porch and outside deck made for wonderful family time. Very clean home and comfortable beds. We would highly recommend and love to come back one day!

I grew up on a lake in Northeastern, PA and Jim in Madison, WI. We shared the dream of getting back to the water. That dream came true when we found Mockingbird!

Jim and I live in Canton, GA which is about 90miles from the lake house. Our 3 children keep us busy with their sport and school activities.

We love the weekends that we're making memories at the lake!
