Welcome to our recently renovated 168 year old farmhouse style home. As you move from room to room there are hints of its history in the wavy (occasionally creaky) floors and slanted roof-line. While admiring its unique features, you'll appreciate all of the conveniences of modern living.
The full kitchen is well equipped with a suite of Maytag appliances, granite counter tops, pots and pans, fiesta dishware, wine glasses, beaters, blender, and even a wine chiller (compliments of one of our guests).
There are two bedrooms, one Queen and one Full, as well as additional sleeping areas including a Queen sleeper sofa in the loft. The home can easily accommodate 6 (or possibly more) people. The home is furnished for relaxing with friends and family in comfort.
Christine is an avid amateur gardener. You will see evidence of her passion for flowers almost anywhere inside our outside of the house. Blue hydrangeas, sea roses, lupines, and lilacs are just the beginning.
Enjoy three season views of Belfast Bay and Front Street Shipyard from the wrap-around porch. Soak up the sights and sounds of the working waterfront below. Voices of builders at work, ropes clanging on yardarms, the beep-beep-beep of forklifts moving around down on the waterfront are the soundtrack of Bridge Street.
For an evening in, take a stroll to the movie rental shop to pick out your favorite movie or a new release, then the Belfast Coop for fresh, local ingredients for a delicious meal, or stop at one of Belfast's amazing restaurants for take-out.
For an evening out on the town, enjoy one of the multitude of Belfast's excellent restaurants, all within a five minute walk from the cottage. After dinner, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the shipyard and across the pedestrian bridge to catch a glimpse of the bay.
If you enjoy seeing the sights by foot, this is the place to be. The newly updated Belfast Rail Trail at the head of the pedestrian bridge is a wonderful place for an after dinner stroll or to get your run in and the Harborwalk through the Shipyard can't be beat.
There is a bike shop around the corner, too, if you are interested in checking out the area on 2 wheels.
This house is close to the road, but set on a hill. Light spills in from the many windows, but it remains private from the street.
There is free high speed WiFi in the cottage. (100 Mbps through Spectrum)
This is a no smoking home and as much as we love animals, pets are not allowed.
