Excellent location, close to many great restaurants and a perfect base for exploring Cape Cod. The accommodations were very comfortable, and the sunrise from the front room was a wonderful bonus. It’s an ideal place for a couple, especially those traveling with their dog. The host was marvelous—very friendly and welcoming. We really appreciated the dog-friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning!

Stunning view! Spectacular sunrises and a rainbow. Wonderful host. Kayaking on the pond was the best part of our vacation- ospreys, herons, and we even had a visit from a curious river otter.

Host was very communicative and any questions promptly. Very cozy loft overlooking Swan Pond. While we did not use the water toys he had available, it was a perfect base from which to explore New England. Shadow was a delight to have around.The sunrise from the loft was breathtaking!Highly recommend for adventuring Cape Cod and surrounding states.

Enjoyed the intimate property for a couple 1 larger dog. Wonderful and friendly host! Beautiful area and views from the porch, especially in the morning. Great location near services, food, and beaches, via car. Kayaks (and flotation vests) available for serene exploration of the large salt pond. Wonderful if you're looking for a more quiet, rustic setting off the beaten path.

Laurance is a gracious, warm, welcoming, and helpful host. My husband and I stayed at his loft apartment on Swan Pond for a birthday weekend. Our dog Rory enjoyed his dog Shadow;) we relaxed, had a lovely night by the firepit, kayaked on the pond, and played games overlooking the pond and dancing seagrasses. We watched the arrows of flying geese and listened to a talkative owl. Laurance's place is a sweet hideaway, very quiet. The king sized bed is comfortable with quality linens (I slept over 9 hours one night--a rarity for me). The breezes and sea air and the bed were a perfect medicine for body and spirit.

Laurence was delightful! The property has a breathtaking view of Swan Pond. Our dogs loved it and the host’s dog was very hospitable!:) Lots of summer toys: we kayaked to the island. If you’re looking for an authentic, old time Cape Cod cottage experience in a stunning location, look no further!

Beautiful view. If you’re looking for the perfect view, this is it! Very nice place. Small, but just right for two and your pups. Larry and Shadow were gracious hosts. We enjoyed our time with them, and would highly recommend his place. The cottage had everything you need for the perfect Cape Cod stay. Gorgeous views of Swan Pond from the porch, kitchen and bedroom. Birders will love the diverse avian population! Dog lovers will enjoy resident hound, Shadow, who is always up for a game of fetch.Laurance was a super host, very quick to respond to questions or concerns. Good wifi connection and a desk with pond view made working from home pleasant!Easy and quick access to both Sound and Bay beaches and the lovely Scargo Pond, shopping, restaurants, while the house itself is tucked off busy roads.Enjoyed and appreciated the strong breezes that kept bugs swept away from the outdoor amenities. Do use the boats provided for pond excursions!

Dream mini-vacation for a family with a dog

Exceptional location on Swan Lake. We enjoyed kayaking and biking every day. Our dog had a blast as well. Very gracious owner, gave us lots of good info.
