Very cool cozy place. I actually think the description of the property left off some nice details...unique beam construction, etc. Fabulous location with short walk anywhere in town. Great communication and a nice guest book with recommendations on hiking and places to dine out, etc. We would definetly stay here again next time!

The Dovetail Mokki cottage was a wonderful experience! It's compact, yet feels warm and comfortable. The heat was on when we arrived and kept us warm throughout the weekend - almost too warm as the weather cooperated better than forecasted. Extremely clean and included all the amenities we needed. The bed is a bit on the hard side and could stand a softer topper as we did ache a bit in the morning, but hiking amongst the fall colors made any pains go away quickly.

A wonderfully well built little cabin, just about the perfect size for two people. Love the second floor bedroom and large windows throughout the cabin. The location is nearly perfect for visitors to Grand Marais's downtown, somehow it is within walking distance to everything and yet still has a quiet and remote feeling to it.Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends.

The location of the Mokki is wonderful, as it's within walking distance to pretty much everything we wanted to do!! It is a cute and welcoming little cottage that provided everything we needed during our stay!

Sweet little cabin just a short walk from North House folk school. Has everything you need except the kitchen is too small for an oven. In cooler months, the fan on the little propane heater is a bit loud, but you quickly get used to the “white noise” in the background. We would stay there again!

This is a really neat little cabin in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to all the great spots to see in Grand Marais. The cabin was very clean, furnished with lots of love and attention to detail and made us feel right at home. Thanks so much for a beautiful stay!

If you always wanted to get a little cabin out in the woods but you really aren't an "out in the woods" person, Dovetail is the place for you. Right near the downtown of Grand Marias, it's a three minute walk to the beach, even less time to get to the library, brewpub, and coffeeshop.Our host checked in with us to make sure all was well and was really prompt in returning texts.We'll be back!
