Beautiful three large bedroom, 2.5 bath pool home on the Island of Venice. House was completely renovated in 2016. Less than 1 mile to two beach access points, and 1 mile to downtown Venice., Large kitchen with granite counters and all stainless appliances. Spacious lanai with heated pool and spa that overlooks a private fenced yard. Centrally located on the island - walk to Supermarket, Brohard Paw Park (dog beach), and beautiful downtown Venice. I will discount rent by 3% if paying by echeck.

Why John Bolger chose Venice

Renovated is 2016. Purchased to rent and use for our family as a vacation/summer home. We have been vacationing to Venice since our parents bought a condo on Venice Beach in 2006. Great place for families and pets. Safe environment and can get everywhere by foot or bike. Paved bike trails to Sarasota. We have lived previously in Ft. Lauderdale and have traveled all over the State of Florida. There is no place else in Florida that has the charm of Venice!

What makes this house unique

Great neighborhood on a quiet road. Close to great restaurants and live theatre. Take your dog to Brohard Paw Park Beach only 1.5 miles away. The legacy trail is an old railway that starts at the Old Venice Train Depot and has a paved walking/bike path for 11 miles to Sarasota. You can go hunting for shark tooth fossils on Caspersen Beach. Sarasota is 45 minutes away. Disney World is 2 hours.

Couldn’t have asked for a nicer home for our visit to Venice.

We are returning visitors to the Island, and found John’s place to be exactly what we wanted for our stay. Everything is updated and super clean, and it just felt like home our entire stay. Neighbors and area are very welcoming, and we will be back and hope to stay yet once again.

You will be happy staying at this Venice Island home 😊🌞🌞🌞

Excellent vacation.

Very nice, contemporary house. Clean and well maintained. Lovely heated pool and spa, which we used everyday. Also, close to the beach. Owner was very helpful when needed. Replied quickly by text. I would highly recommend this property and Venice Island. Lots of nice restaurants, such as Croissants & Company, Blu Island Bistro, Abby's on Miami (excellent food and service), etc. And the downtown area has a lot of shops. Bealls, fast food and grocery stores are close. We had a very nice, relaxing time, and hated to go home.

Updated w/coastal vibe

The response from the owner(s) were always quick with satisfactory resolutions. The home is very updated with new kitchen and baths. It has nice decor throughout. One item that needs attention is the fully fenced back yard. It is due for sod otherwise it can get very dirty if you have a dog (we did and he did). But nice VRBO's with fenced secure yard IF you have a dog is very hard to find. We had guests stay and they too were very impressed with this lovely house that is close to not only Venice Beach but the superb Siesta Key beach. We tried most of the recommendations outlined by the owner for restaurants etc. and found them right on the money. We are here searching for our forever home after relocating from CO. This was a nice place to regroup and familiarize ourselves with the Florida environment.

Venice Island Home

We are a family of four with two teenagers and we did not want to leave pretty much sums up our stay! This is a beautiful, well kept, very clean and very comfortable home with a wonderful pool and hot tub. The home is located on a quiet and safe neighborhood street which makes for a wonderful relaxing getaway. When you are ready to get up and move, there are many choices. The beach is within walking distance as well as many activities and restaurants. Sharky's was a family favorite restaurant located by the pier on the beach. It had a fun family atmosphere and offered live music. We enjoyed Venice Avenue with it's many boutiques and restaurants and for something a bit more adventurous, we enjoyed the hiking and biking trails that Venice has to offer. Biking around Venice is a blast and a great way to see the sights! If you are a pet lover, Venice is certainly pet friendly. We saw many dogs strolling alongside their masters which we loved seeing because we were missing our pets who were at home. The owner of the home was great to work with and information was mapped out very clearly for us and we very quickly felt right at home. We did have a question for the owner during our stay and he was easy to contact and he was a pleasure to speak with on the phone. We would highly recommend this property and we will be returning and cannot wait!

Just south of Sarasota along Florida’s white-sanded Gulf Coast, Venice offers 14 miles of beaches from Casey Key to Manasota Key and plenty of recreational opportunities, including swimming, sunbathing, fishing and boating. Shelling is also a favorite pastime, and fossilized shark's teeth can be found in abundance by sifting through the sand. Golfers enjoy excellent courses in the greater Venice area. Bikers can access the legacy trail, a 10.8-mile paved trail in Sarasota County, Florida running between Sarasota near Palmer Ranch and Venice. It opened in 2008 along the area's historic rail corridor. 

Venice also is a Florida Main Street City – its downtown graced by northern Italian architecture and beautifully landscaped boulevards that date to the original city plans of 1925 and reminiscent of the Italian city whose name it borrowed.
