BRAND NEW home in cute neighborhood just 4 miles to downtown Asheville

We were not sure what to expect as this was our first time to use VRBO. After reading all the reviews we felt like it was a no brainer and booked it for our Thanksgiving holiday. On the way to the residence we passed several older homes and a run down area. My husband was saying this wasn't looking good and I was getting a sick feeling, but then we passed a street with new construction and the very next street was Lamar. Behind the trees we found the Nest. It was so clean and beautifully laid out. The owners left cheese and crackers and a nice note on the bar. We had a wonderful time! We met several family members to enjoy Thanksgiving together and it was big enough for us to spread out. We built a fire the second night we were there. Such a cozy place and it was centrally located to everything we were interested in seeing in Asheville. We visited Chimney Rock and the Biltmore and the owners suggested we visit Omni Grove Park. We were so glad that we took them up on that suggestion. It was great! We were very pleased with our experience and will visit the Nest again if we are ever in the area.

We visited Asheville with our 3 kids and my parents so we could take them to the Biltmore. We wanted to rent a house so we could have some of the amenities of home and also not have to split up into 2 hotel rooms each night. This house was perfect - exceptionally clean, well appointed, very comfortable and an easy drive to the Biltmore. My parents are very picky about where they stay and they thought the house was fantastic.

I was impressed with the thoughtfulness of the owners in providing items that made our stay easier, ie a new dish sponge, extra toilet paper, hand soap, etc. I hate arriving at a rental house to find there’s no hand soap or I forgot to bring a sponge for dishes, etc. Little details make a surprising difference.

My daughters slept in the upstairs bedroom and loved waking up and doing the puzzles and games in the bonus room. It was a great setup for our family.

We would definitely recommend this house and will stay there again if we return to Asheville.

My group and I had a great experience with this property. There were 10 of us, but with the bedrooms and enough open space for a few air mattresses, we slept comfortably and never felt cramped. Plenty of towels and linens, thought a few extra sheets might not have hurt, but we were also a very big group. Bear in mind that one of the bathrooms is in the master bedroom, so whoever is staying in there will have to be willing to share and endure some through traffic. Even with 10, we did ok though.

As for the house, the downstairs and kitchen are a beautiful open space to relax. It seems in good condition and well kept up. It seems to get cleaned quite thoroughly. The property is surrounded by fencing and trees and this adds some nice privacy. The house is also very well located for all your Asheville needs, being pretty close to the downtown area, breweries, and Chimney Rock and Biltmore if that's more your speed.

Overall it's easy to recommend a stay here. Good luck with your travels!
