About Property Manager
Myself, my husband Steve and our huge Maine Coon Cat "Chewy" live next door to Camp Bud (Bud is my brother) We live on a separate lot, not too close, but close enough to help with any issues or questions you may have. My husband Steve and I were born here and are true "Mainers" we live on the lake year round and love it
Property Manager purchased this Cabin in 2000
Why Property Manager chose Otis
We are the third generation to own our Camp on Beech Hill When my grandfather built here in the 1940's there was no road to the property, they had to hike in. There were very few camps on the lake at that time. In order to get supplies to the property that were to heavy to pack in, they waited until the ice froze and drove a truck across the lake to the sight, dropped off the supplies and came back in the Spring to continue building. One of the heavy items was my Grandmothers cast iron wood burning cook stove, unfortunately we had to remove it so our guests could enjoy a modern kitchen. Don't worry about the stove it is now at our hunting camp up north.

Beautiful pond with easy access to Acadia
Lovely setting on Beech Hill Pond in an old school camp.
Clearly many families have enjoyed this camp over generations!
Loved Maine and all the natural beauty. Can’t wait to return!
Quiet and peaceful
Family had a great time in this cozy location!
Sweet little cabin in a perfect location for us - private cove area of crystal clear Beech Hill Pond. Profoundly quiet in the evening, nothing to hear but the loons. The kayaks, canoe, and peddle boat were a real bonus. Only a short drive to Ellsworth and Acadia National Park.
The cabin was comfortable and well-stocked. Linda anticipates your every need. The owners were extremely responsive to any questions or issues. The lake was clean and lovely for swimming and kayaking. My husband caught several basses which were a highlight of his week since we visited in August.
We had such a great week at camp Bud! Everything was just as described and very comfortable and relaxing! Our kids loved rolling out of bed in the morning and playing in the lake and using the kayaks and paddle boat. The camp was close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor to be convenient but far enough away to be peaceful and calm. We will definitely be returning to the camp- hopefully for 2 weeks next time!
