It was a cozy place. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck. The only thing that was not the greatest was that all the people downstairs had to share one bathroom, other than that it was great.

Great floor plan

The house was wonderful and in a great location. Everything was excellent except for the beds. Would recommend replacing the mattresses and attaching the head boards. I personally slept in two different beds and both were bad. I also got complaints from all the other guests in our party.

Great house but not clean

While we loved the actual house and the location was great, it was not very clean. We did spend about an hour when we arrived cleaning the bathrooms, kitchen, and bedrooms. There was a lot of dust and it did not seem like the floors were cleaned. The rental was perfect and fit everyone comfortably and the location was nice and very quiet. I will definitely recommend the rental but just wish it got a little bit more attention before we arrived

Motorcycle friendly, it is not

Everything was wonderful except the driveway. We are motorcyclists and expected a "motorcycle friendly" experience. The driveway was supposed to be hard packed gravel. It was not. It was jagged stones about four inches deep . It was also not level and angled down and sideways. There was no room to turn around so we had to either park elsewhere or walk the motorcycle backward down through the deep stones. Very difficult and dangerous. Very unlevel. Almost everything else was great.

Not what we expected

The house had plenty of room. However, the LR/kitchen and the Master bedroom were very dark. Only one window and there were so many trees, the light couldn’t come in. Bathroom was very bright and nice size. Sunroom was nice. The house was not very clean. Maybe I’m just picky. But when I find food in between the couch cushions and LOTS of dust on the ceiling fan blades and dirt on the carpets, that’s not clean. Also, we thought we would have a view of the mountains. Our view was nothing but trees! And we were only a few blocks away from the main drag in town so we heard all the traffic noise—Not what we expected to hear on vacation. Sid, the property manager, was great. When we told him about the issues we had, he sent someone out the next day and got most of the issues fixed. Biggest surprise was that we didn’t even have a bed frame for the first two nights. It was taken apart and in the closet! How could the cleaning crew not have noticed that??? So we slept about 16 inches off the floor for the first two nights. The house and the town of Maggie Valley were just not what we expected.

Reviewer Comments: We were renting this house during Mini Truck Nationals, the House was very clean and nice. We hauled our truck on a trailer and the area is very tight, it’s not easy to get a truck and trailer turned around in the area. The neighbor across the street was very nice.

The beds were really comfortable. It was warm in the house but the fans helped to cool the rooms down while we were sleeping.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the house overall, the layout was nice. My teen wished there was a tv in the bedrooms and either a more up to date one in game room lol plenty of towels and plenty of room for everyone. Very easy access and close to everything Only problem we had was upstairs bedroom/bathroom was NOT cleaned, including dirty sheets. It was late when we arrived so we cleaned and washed them ourselves and I called the next morning to notify company who offered to send someone out. And game room had an odd smell as if it had been sprayed recently and too many air fresheners to cover it up. Overall, we will definitely stay with the company again and would probably stay at the property again.

Maggie Valley home

This was a great spot to stay while we visited the Polar Express in Bryson City and traveled into Asheville. The home was very clean and updated. My girls thoroughly enjoyed the games and ping pong table that were in the home. We would definitely stay here again!
